Big Ben said Curiel will be a draftable sophomore next year… what determines if you can be drafted as a sophomore?

He turned 20 this past Saturday. 21 year olds are eligible for the draft.

I bet he looked like Barry Bonds on the travel ball circuit.

Learn something new everyday… been watching for 34+ years and for some ungodly reason I thought once you got on campus you had to stay till you were a junior unless you redshirted

Remember Mike Fontenot 25 years ago? Drafted as a sophomore.

Don't feel bad, like most of MLB didn't realize Andrew Benintendi was draft-eligible his soph year

people that complain about 19YO seniors are upset because their kid can’t play. They should invest that energy helping little Jaxon play better.

Mine play football - has zero to do with that. It had everything to do with claiming your kid is a HS “senior” when he’s really the age of college freshmen. It’s ridiculous.

All of MLB didn't realize TJ Freidl had redshirted a year and was eligible as a soph (redshirted under Jay, FWIW).

He went off for Team USA, then people looked at his birthday and as you're keenly aware, the Reds scrounged up about $500K for a UDFA.

There have been several true sophomore’s drafted. Mike Fontenot comes to mind.

We could sure use Griffin Herring right about now.
