Whatever happened to just talking to people? Folks are just so quick to bring a gun and start shooting without thinking about the ramifications.

There’s probably a decent portion of concealed carry people who have wet dreams about using their weapons.

That was easy when everyone spoke English.

Dont bring your gun to town, young Wyatt

One life lost, one life ruined, tons of collateral damage most likely

At an old job, one of my duties was shutting off our customers' irrigation systems and winterizing them. There was this one house we did, that was the customer's 2nd home. For some reason, the irrigation control box was installed in their basement, so I had to enter the home to access it. They were out of town almost every year around this time, so the husband told me where they hid the spare house key.

The last time I did it, I went up to the house and knocked several times to see it they were home before getting the spare key. No one answered, so I unlocked the door. Upon opening the door, I announced my presence a couple of times. No response, so I enter and head to the basement. I turn a corner and almost run into his wife, scaring the daylights out of her...and me too. She was not happy. It took her several minutes to calm down after a discussion with her husband. But we had a good laugh after it was over. I'm sure if she was packing, I'd probably be dead.

He was sent by the landlord to trim trees.

What do you think she was doing to not answer you after giving so much notice?

I wondered that myself, but didn't ask her.

Maybe the landscaper came at him with tree pruning equipment

Otherwise, what is a person thinking to pull a gun and shoot someone who’s in a front yard?

According to court documents, a witness heard the shooter say "I didn't mean to do it."
