Tell us your ghost stories

My friends and I used to use a camcorder to record ourselves acting stupid in the middle of the night. We would sit it on a tv stand and be goofy. One day we watched the footage and saw a dark shadowy hand reach over the couch. And later we saw a baby like shadow crawling across the floor really fast. All this was done in the light and no one noticed it until the tape was played.
My mom dreamt about her deceased mother and ended up waking up to some of her mom’s belongings laying next to her in bed.
Another morning while the sun was just coming up, she saw a dark cloud hovering over my dad while he slept. He ended up getting in an accident that day.
And lastly, my sister in law felt a presence in a room she was in while laying on a couch. She pulled a blanket over herself and felt something touch her belly. She ended up losing her baby. My brother developed some film later on and there was a pic of her laying on the couch with a blanket on her and a lamp floating in the picture with the chord hanging down. No one took the picture!

Seems like hospitals & nursing homes should be overrun with ghosts since that's where most people die. Either that or its all bullshite like op stories.

I believe in spirits, but OPs stories just sound super fake.

Was working at a restaurant in college, it was in a very old building and almost closing time. There was a big fire where people died in the area long before I ever worked there.
A couple came in the door wearing really dressy outfits and sat down on a couch in a lounge type area, didn't come and order anything but we didn't have any kind of policy saying you had to.
I didn't think much of the outfits because there was an art gallery/theater type place down the street, and I assumed they had something going on there that evening. So while the outfits were kind of out of place, there was an explanation.
The only way out of the place that wouldn't set off an alarm was the front door. I was at the front the entire time from when they came in until we started closing. I actually locked the door (so it wouldn't open either way) while we were cleaning up so no one else could come in, and that also meant no one could get out either if they tried. Those people were just fricking gone
Once I remembered they came in I looked everywhere.
I still try to rationalize it by saying I must have looked away for a second and they slipped out. But we had a bell on the door, they were the last people in, and I never heard it ring. I'm probably just crazy.

Ghosts aren’t real and anyone that believes in them is retarded

I was hooking up with a very sexy realtor in BR a few years back. We had a great weekend, but I never heard from her again. It was odd to say the least.
Her name is Kristen for those wanting to try to hit it or buy a starter home.

Talk to anyone that spent a lot of time at The Spanish Moon or the Tilt guys that bought that building.
Bodies got stacked there after the great flood. Same with that bathroom in middle of the old NOLA airport.

Videoed in a back woods graveyard out on a hunting lease in woodville. Was dead silent not even a bird chirping during daylight. Very unsettling.

About 20 years ago I was living in a garage studio. I was chilling at my desk watching the TV when the plastic cup just fell from the counter. And it landed on an upright position. I don’t believe in ghost but 2 that made me question my beliefs.

I've related this one on here already but I'll venture to do it one more time.
My first wife had just had our son and a week into her being back home her mother came from out of state to stay for a week or so to help her out since I was working a lot back then.
One morning I came home around 7 a.m. after getting off work and walked into the kitchen where they were drinking coffee. At the time we were living in an old shotgun house with a clear view from front to back through all the doorways.
I get in the kitchen and my mother-in-law asks why it took me so long to come to the kitchen since she saw me walk in and stop in the nursery we had set up in the 2nd room of the house for our son.
I told her I did come straight into the kitchen after coming in the front door. Then she said the person she saw had on different clothes than the uniform I was wearing, more casual dress type stuff.
I joked that maybe it was the ghost of my dad who had died in that house when I was just a kid of 8 years old and he happened to have died in that exact same room we had set up the nursery in, and I can still see the look on her face when I told her that.
Fast forward 2 years and we sell the house and move into a larger, nicer house and it was sold to an elderly couple who loved the house when it went on the market. Matter of fact, they were the first to view it and wrote a check for the downpayment right then and there. About a year after they moved in I passed through the old neighborhood one day and saw the house abandoned with the front and rear door wide open, no for sale or rent sign, just abandoned.

There were a couple, but I never asked the owner to check the tape because I didn't want to seem like a psycho since I had just gotten promoted

Got back from emergency leave stateside and found out the cute waitress at the NCO club had the hots for me.
She was a Dependent and had a young son.
Spent the night at her place in the countryside and woke up in the middle of the night to see a gray shadowy female figure standing at the foot of the bed just staring at us.
Waitress was asleep. I shook my head and made sure I was actually awake. Yup, she's still standing there. I finally rolled over and went back to sleep.
The next morning at breakfast I casually mentioned it to the waitress.
She said her son says the "Gray Lady" had visited his room many times during the night.
Whoa...

People who think they see ghosts are mentally ill

I’ve posted this story here before but why not tell it again?
One of my grandmothers lived in New Orleans and she would walk the short distance to the bus stop and take the bus to go shopping on Canal St. she passed away at a ripe old age but the house stayed in the family. My youngest cousin who was 8-10 years old had a friend come over to play. The friend never met my grandmother and had never been to the house before. When the little girl arrived, she saw a photo of my grandmother and said “I just saw her.” My aunt and uncle asked where and the little girl said the woman in the photo was sitting on the steps in front of the house. She told the girl she was waiting for the bus to go shopping.
