Can we stop it with the hypothetical starting pitcher BS

It’s Anderson and Eyanson game one and two. All other teams will have used their top pitchers in first two games. We have the depth to outlast the others. Why risk losing our first game and then have to play out of the losers bracket?
This sets you up for next weekend supers with Anderson and Eyanson pitching game one and two on normal rest.
Why would you delay there start in regionals with the obvious goal of making the supers and then have your two studs come off short rest? Someone make that make any sense???

You don’t know if they would be on short rest or not because you don’t know when the super regional would start, and 6 days vs 5 days isn’t as big of a deal as getting down to 4 days.

Well, if there’s one thing we know for sure, telling people on the rant to stop talking about something always works.

You ask if we can stop talking about it, then proceed to give us your opinion on the matter...

You want to stop talking about it yet start the 200th thread regarding it. Makes as much sense as trying to guess who starts.

Well what side of the hypohetical argument are you on? Hypothetically, of course.

We should be able to be Little Rock with our worst pitcher on the staff.

why stop though? it's a fun debate.

if you think you can beat DBU with your 3rd starter
you have to believe you can beat UALR.
but I trust Jay.
it’s just so rare you get a 4

Agreed, but this decision isnt just about beating LR. Its about staying in position to be ready to go next weekend too. You hold Kade until Sunday then hell be going on at least 1 day short of rest next weekend, depending on when our super would start

The only other time we did, he pitched Skenes. So weather we agree or not he’s probably going to pitch Anderson.

Tulane had a 19-42 record and Jay threw arguably the best pitcher to ever don the purple and gold. They were really fricking bad.

I’ve already said the best move is to start Schmidt.

It amazes me how one game (Skenes pitching against Tulane in game 1 of the 2023 Regional) has brainwashed a huge percentage of our fanbase.
Prior to that game it was sacrilegious for LSU to ever use their Ace in game one of a home regional.
That one game has changed 38 years of LSU fans never believing we ever needed to pitch our Ace in game one. That it was always our advantage to go with our 3rd or 4th starter.

Once again you are lying to your self you have a much better chance of beating a shitty team like little rock with Noot and shores then you do vs DBU
Either way we will need to win a 3rd game it just so happens the easiest game to win pitching wise happens to be our 1st game

This is somewhat how I feel. DBU can hit. I would rather my best arms against them. Hopefully DBU loses.
We may have some weather things going on Friday.
