One thing that annoys me about people saying Canada as the 51st state

Is that it ignores all the provinces within Canada that would be considered separate states. If I’m not mistaken, it would be actually 58 states and not 51.

No part of Canada will be part of the United States for the foreseeable future, so you needn’t worry about it.

The people wanting Alberta because they think it’ll help Republicans are morons. Alberta would elect two Democratic senators and basically all Democrats in their House contingent. The Conservative Party in Canada is nothing close to the US Republican Party. They align more closely with mainstream Democrats.

Ya know what annoys me? The idea that we want a country full of voters that cannot pull their head out of their arse long enough to stop voting for idiot Liberals like Trudeu and the new guy that is just as bad.

WTF makes any of us think that is a good idea? It's like welcoming a couple million Harris-Biden-Obama voters into America.

There hasn’t been such a thing as a mainstream Democrat for at least 10 years or longer.

We’ve had American troops stationed in Greenland for over 80 years now.

There are tens of millions of them. They’re disproportionately suppressed in Congress by loud, progressive morons in the same manner that centrist Republican voters are artificially suppressed by idiots like MTG.

Most people are in the middle, that won’t ever change.

Then maybe they should stop voting for the far left lunatics that’s been running the Democrat Party for the past 20 years and instead vote for some reasonable “middle-of-the-road” Democrats.

Most of them don’t. Believe it or not, there is a hundred or so Democrats in Congress that are in fact just normal people who lean left on social issues. Similarly on the GOP side.

To be fair conservatives in America aren't really conservative, either.

Canada as the 51st state became Trump’s talking point because Trudeau cried to him and Rubio in a meeting - saying Canada would never survive with the tariffs.

Hence, Trump offered to make them a state if they can’t survive as a country.

Canada’s entire political spectrum is to the left of people like Dick Durbin, Gary Peters, etc.

The CPC is basically the US Democratic Party in 2016.

Even those “conservative” farmers in Alberta want the government to pay for their healthcare and generally subsidize their entire life
