Will be interesting to see how Texas handles rioters. Should be a hell of a show.

Because he was 17 at the time of the offense, which is adulthood for purposes of criminal law in Texas.

Why would we rob him of going to a place where he might fit in very well and be taken care of for the rest of his life?

One could bet the farm against this statement. Albeit I hope it's true.

There will definitely be riots if he's found guilty. Have you seen the comments from blacks on X. The consensus is that the modern black man is not taking the same treatment as their ancestors.

They believe words, being told to leave and being touched are calls for deadly violence.

My post was wishful thinking, but my gut says you’re right.

I just really hope this doesn’t happen. He’s clearly guilty and he will be rightfully convicted.

Not me, the racial climate and tensions that blacks will put on this jury to acquit him will be astronomical. They will 100% threaten them indirectly. They will have 100s if not 1000s at trial daily ready to riot if he’s hot acquitted. They will have pressure of if my name gets out do and I voted to convict him what could happen to or my family.

This is a real scenario and I haven’t even went down the rabbit hole of if they get multiple black people on the jury no way he gets convicted.

I hope he is in jail for life after this but I suspect he walks
