As the popularity of weight-loss drugs surges, a new concern is emerging: “Ozempic teeth.” The term refers to a range of dental issues users have reportedly been experiencing — such as dry mouth, bad breath, gum disease and tooth decay.

So not only does Ozempic clog your colon, cause hair loss, pancreatitis, gallstones and give you ED but also causes your teeth to rot. It amazes me that half of this board are scared to get a vaccine but are perfectly fine shooting themselves up with an experimental weight loss drug that destroys your body.

So better to be obese and have a host of major health problems that will lead you to an early grave, right?

These drugs suppress appetite, and since eating normally stimulates saliva flow, eating less while on Ozempic can mean less stimulation to the salivary glands — which can cause issues.

So the drug itself does nothing to your teeth.

Your post is fake news.

Those side effects are nothing compared to the pain of passing on a banana split in the summertime.

Can, not does.

I wouldn't touch the shite with a 10' pole, but I'm not a diabetic. If I were? I'd definitely give it a chance. Otherwise healthy people taking this is some very risky behavior, imo.

Know what doesn't do any of this shite? Going to the gym and not eating processed poison.

GLP-1 receptor agonist medications have been on the market for 20 years. I’d hardly call them “experimental”.

Many of the side effects of obesity are reversible like Type 2 diabetes which is the greatest risk along with heart disease but there are millions of people with heart disease who aren’t obese. The problem with these fad weight loss drugs is there are no real long term studies on the side effects so it may not be better on your body than 20-30 pounds of unhealthy weight. There are a LOT of medications that can cause severe side effects when used for something it was never intended to treat.

It's retarded to touch Ozempic unless you are extremely overweight.

Most people are lazy and copycats.

My doctor put me on zep bound and I took it for a month. I really don't know how I took it that long because I was sick all the time.

I got off of that crap and have lost 70 pounds in seven months the old fashioned way. Losing weight is 80% diet and move around more. That is all.

there is always a tradeoff.

Id rather deal with dental issues vs being 400 lbs and not able to walk up stairs.
