Yep. How many people who keep chimps or big cats as pets get mauled by them eventually as the animals get older and mature in their version of adulthood.
I've never understood the fascination of mingling with dangerous animals just for the sake of doing it. All it takes is one time to be the last thing you ever do.

His name is Alex Larenty, and works for a game reserve in south africa.
he has been working with lions there for a few decades i think., So the lions there very much know him. He is more laissez faire than i care for him to show, but make no mistake, he knows those lions and their tendencies very well.

Yeah, I ain’t fricking with no lions…but I am in the Everglades this week and got 2 Eastern diamondbacks a couple days ago!

As someone who use to handle venomous snakes a lot...the way your holding that diamondback makes me nervous as shite.
I've never gotten comfortable to the point of handling them without having control of th head. As I aged and my reflexes have diminished I don't mess with them as much anymore

Another guy who stopped to check it out was even more casual with it…
…and he’s not taking a pic there, he’s looking at his phone for a few seconds and not even watching the snake. Dude is shipping out with the Navy very soon and I’m glad to have him serving our country - he’s got balls for sure.
I’m not going that far with an EDB, but have with an Ornate black-tailed rattler. I started out heading them, but that makes them more defensive and puts your fingers closer to the fangs. Not all can be free-handled. The first EDB that day was more hyper. That second one was very chill. You learn to read their intentions.
Not saying it’s fool proof, and I am indeed a fool, so…
