Just ordered one. Probably should have asked before I ordered, but anyone got one? How do you like it?

I remember watching a video on them and a dude said they're the best value out there for an OTF. I've had one in my blade HQ cart for a couple of months

I researched them a bit. That’s kind of the general consensus it seems.

For roughly that price you can get one of the microtech lineup, and their steel is superior.

Ty. Maybe I'll get one of them too. The Kershaw is Magnacut. I read multiple options on it ranging from it's the best out there to it's just a fad.

Just came in. No complaints thus far. Lighter than I expected. Snappy. I really like the blade style, but that is personal preference. I'm a sucker for reverse tanto. Has a good feel to it. There is a little bit of blade play, but from what I understand you will have that with otfs. It's only noticeable if you are looking for it. Unique pocket clip. I don't really have much comment on that since I remove the pocket clips from all my knives and carry in pocket more traditionally. I'll try to remember to give an update after I've used it for a while.

how are you liking it now that you've carried it for a while?
I've been carrying a Benchmade 4850BK since that Scheels sale. I've been wanting to get a full sized OTF.

I had to look it up too and I chuckled at "out the front"

Magnacut is a great steel, but once it loses its edge, it is very hard to sharpen.

I hope you like it, but $250 for a pocket knife is ridiculous.

If you are looking for quality american made knives with some of the newest steels in the knives (s90v, maxamet, s110v, etc), that's the starting point now.

Not really, got a Magnacut Kershaw Launch for under $160 shipped last year. Both of these were under $250/ea shipped when I got them in the last few weeks.

It's not quite that bad, at least not for Spyderco, but it's probably $170 or better. I'm looking at a Magnacut Native that's been around $160 since it was introduced and it sells out all the time.

Easier than S90V and with the availability of bonded diamond sharpening stones I don't think it would be much of a concern at all now. I've got 940's in S30V, S90V, and now Magnacut; the S30V takes a great polish to the edge but I know that S90V doesn't like (or need) to be taken that far to get hair-popping sharp. Think Magnacut will be much like my Elmax and M390 knives if not a bit easier.

I have a benchmade in s90 and I’ve taken advantage of the lifesharp program several times so I don’t have to worry about it.

I'm sending my S30V 940 in this week for the same. I'm tempted to send in my extremely well worn Presidio but they'd probably decline and send it back in pieces
