1. Middle-aged woman shuns her old life and becomes a whore in some beautiful location.

2. Talking animals.

3. Super heroes.

4. Singing.

Plots that serve no purpose other than to make a political statement of some kind. I feel like they're just designed to make some people feel right and make the others feel angry. Ultimately polarizing us further

Snakes on a Plane is one of the greatest achievements in modern cinematic history.

1. The need to "subvert expectations," for no other reason than to subvert them. Can be political, gender/race-oriented, or just to be "edgy" - see all of the above in most of the new Star Wars trilogy. Most modern "remakes" and sequels to nostalgic films, most female-empowerment films, etc.

Then in second place:

1. Middle-aged woman shuns her old life and becomes a whore in some beautiful location.

The plot that's built to try and cram woke or unrealistic ideology down your throat.

This one. At least be honest about how inaccurate your movie is like Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. 300, Marie Antoinette, Hamilton, Pearl Harbor, and JFK (great movie that is a complete pack of lies).

Horror movies that utilize technology and by extension social media. Cars and other vehicles i grudgingly accepted in the 80’s. The Poltergeist tv scene and the original Chucky got a pass as well. Yes I hated The Ring. Ghosts haunting through smart phones, websites and computers is a definite no.

Also any plots that rely heavily on dreams.

Family dramadies with actresses like Diane Keaton as the overbearing matriarch who I’m ultimately supposed to love and empathize with by movies end despite her misgivings

Zombies.

I used to be ok with Zombies. I watched the original Dawn of the Dead many times. Zombies were ok because while scary you actually stood a chance because they just lumbered around and had no dexterity - - -but then some fool decided to invent running zombies and it changed my world. I do not eff with running Zombies
