1. How much did your wife / girlfriend / lady friend’s current purse cost?

2. 1-10: purses are important to her and her social network (10=very important).

3. What is the male-equivalent type of purchase?

Don't buy your significant other a purse, a woman is never happy unless she picks it out and buys it herself.

I bought my wife a LV purse, she sold it and paid off her car....

Two things I will never buy my wife, a purse and sunglasses...

this, my wife and daughter scour the globe looking for these purses that they just have to have, cost more than a couple of cars I've owned and I never see them once they've acquired them

Didn't you start a similar thread about beauty products?
Maybe you have a "wife / girlfriend / lady friend" who is costing you a ton of money and are trying to get sense of what is "normal" or average? There is none.

All women are different. Some are more practical. Not all women love to shop and spend a ton of money on these things. I am a woman. I don't. My daughter does. Expensive purses mean nothing to me.

My SO does not know what brand my purse is or what it cost. He doesn't care. His shopping trips are for guns, ammo, fishing gear, etc

I've had a really good run with gf's on these. My current one is sensible and I got her on the repo subreddits. She doesn't care if it is a fake. My gf before that got them sent to her for modeling and hated almost every purse she ever got. I'm talking Hermes, Delvaux, YSL, Chanel, Cartier, etc and she hated 99% of them and gave them to friends

There’s website for duplicate hand bags - women don’t care if they are fake, just don’t let them know

Never surprise your wife with high dollar possessions. Surprise her with the paying for it but tell her to pick it out. This applies to all things. Jewelry, cars, handbags, whatever.

I am lucky my wife is not materialistic at all. One of the many reasons why I married her. She knows the effort it takes to make money.
