I truly think Shanahan and a really good supporting cast could make a lot of cheap QBs look good. If there’s any franchise that should try it as a strategy it’s that one. Alas we will never find out.

Purdy won’t even be in the Top 10 by next offseason Reality is the cap keeps surging so quickly that none of these contracts “punish” teams to the extent that they deserve

It’s to a point every season that one of these QBS don’t win a super bowl is a complete failure… it’s hard to justify paying a average QB this much money…. eventually someone going Biily Beane it at the position… draft one every year try to win Super Bowl within 3-4 years than on to the next

And we spend post after post bickering about college qbs making a paltry 4-5 mil a year if they're elite. In the NFL average gets you 50. Amazing what perception is capable of.
