Reuters: Ukrainian source called Moscow's demands 'non-starters'

So Giving up Territory you already fought for and lost is a non starter
Unfortunately Trump is being played by Lindsey Graham and Zelensky. A simple way to end this War is tell Zelensky you have 48 hrs to Recognize the Territories you already lost to Russia or we are stopping all aid including weapons. If he does that, the War is over. Before Trump met with Zelensky at the funeral for the Pope in Rome he said Ukraine was going to have to recognize Crimea as Russia Territory, now Zelensky is refusing to do that.
"Neither side has so far offered no major concessions, and issues like permanent control over Crimea and the four eastern territories remain sticking points for Moscow
President Zelensky has meanwhile been making clear that Ukraine will not surrender its territory as "this is Ukraine's land" - and he isn't so much as ready to even offer Crimea. Zelensky and European leaders are reportedly holding a phone call with US President Trump in the wake of the Istanbul meeting.
They will likely try to convince the US leader that attempts to negotiate an end to the war with Putin are futile. This seems to have been Zelensky's aim all along: getting Washington and Trump back on his side, and securing the unending flow of weapons, cash, and intelligence."

I can only go by what I see. Before the meeting with Zelensky in Rome Trump was saying Zelensky would have to face the reality on the ground and recognize the territories they already lost including Crimea to end the War and achieve Peace. Since that meeting Trump and Vance had changed their tune and said Russia was asking for too much. Zelensky and Lindsey Graham are trying to dictate the terms to Trump now. Like I said, All Trump has to do is tell Zelensky he has 48hrs to recognize the Territories they already lost as Russian Territories or no more weapons and aid. I am sure Zelensky will change his tune at that point

The result of this "peace negotiation" is that it made Putin look like the lying, petulant warmonger that he is.

Sell them weapons. Intel is cheap so give them that. That's all I would offer.

So you want the War to continue? If Russia's main demands is no NATO for Ukraine and recognize Crimea and the 4 Oblast that basically are close to full Russian control now anyway as Russian territory that seems like a easy compromise. Tell Zelensky he has 48 hrs to do this or no more weapons or aid. For Zelensky to still be saying he doesn't want to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory shows he has no intentions or interest in stopping the War.

Incorrect. Trump is being played by Putin. Trump basically wants Ukraine to surrender, and blames Zelensky for wanting the war to continue.
Here's a crazy thought - Russia could just stop their illegal invasion of a sovereign country and go back home. This does not mean Zelensky isn't corrupt - he is, but he's the lessor of the two evils here.

Yeah because we didn’t start a coup in 2014 and assist Ukrainians in butchering Russian women and children in the Donbas. You’re such a disingenuous hack when it involves anything with Russia

No the crazy thing is those people in Crimea and the oblasts consider themselves Russian, they voted to be part of Russia, and over a million have already migrated to Russia.
Good synopsis, when they questioned one of the ministers why she was bombing Crimea if it was their people, her response "its our land".
They dont give a shat about their people. And this "sovereign" country bullshite is just that. Dont cry like a baby for what you cant defend like a man.
Its "sovereign" land of the Motherland and it shall remain.

Zelenski is not serious about ending the war, just continuing the grift. I wouldn't even give them 48 hours. Just ghost him. Stop all aid and assistance. Dont return calls. If a reporter asks Trump something about Zelenski he should respond "who"?

Said nothing about endless war. If the war continues I would sell them weapons yes. Or someone else will. I don't want to see my 200 billion completely wasted with a total Russian victory either. I completely support DJTs efforts so far. But I do not support anymore free sh!t for that little creep.

There's much more nuance to ending that war than just stopping all funding and demanding territory secession to the Russians.
While I agree that we SHOULD end all funding and aid, we have mixed interests here.
Regardless of right or wrong, the situation is what it is. We have Europe on the one hand upset that Russia has encroached on NATO with expanding back into Ukraine. Then you have Russia who is saying they mainly only did it because it seemed inevitable that Ukraine would be brought into NATO.
There has to be a balance there, and it starts with Ukraine realizing that they can't win. They can't win the war, obviously, and they can't win situationally because there are bigger entities on either side for them. Both of those entities would gladly broker a deal, but Little Z Guy is standing up screaming that he won't give an inch.
Russia and the rest of Europe feel equal and/or no pressure to end the war, realistically. Ukraine has everything to lose and nothing to gain, making Little Z Man a metaphorical beggar in this situation.
He is stupid, and doesn't realize that sooner or later either Russia and Europe will broker a deal and frame what his puny arse wants out of it, or Russia will say frick it and take the rest of Ukraine while they are at it.
Either way, it seems like Trump is intentionally riding the fence until something happens that is more consequential than Little Z Man throwing a baby fit and not wanting to interpret reality for what it is.

No fool would agree to the terms Putin has demanded, which go far beyond territorial.
Russia’s insistence on 80k man military, no peacekeeping troops, and other ways to neuter Ukraine’:are clear signs that Russia plans to continue their war against Ukraine long term, so that makes their terms non-starters.
We need to put more pressure on Putin, that is the only way to bring this to a close . Ukraine has offered to buy weapons from us, we should be selling them everything they want and dumping old weapons on them for not only our own strategic interest but financial gain as well.
That is the fastest way to bring this war to a close.

But the Russians were just minding their business when Zelensky invaded them and then made a run at Moscow.
That is the mentality you are dealing with. People forget, Putin wanted to take Kyiv and would have if not for all the Javelins we sent that fricked up Russian tanks....also people forget that Belarus allowed their territory to be used as a staging ground initially. That should tell you something about the whole situation and Putin's thinking.

They don’t want the war to end. They’ve raked in nearly half a trillion in foreign money with 100 billion of that “missing or unaccounted for”, ie laundered.
This is the grandaddy of all grifts

This is what low info brainwash does to you. War started in 2014 and even prior. Putin wanted to decapitate illegitimate hostile regime, not actually control Ukraine. He can barely control Russia and his goal was autonomy of Donbas region with direct or indirect control. He would have settled for indirect control, but now he has to fully control it.
Crimea is the main region they wanted full control over due to the naval base.

Correct. If we think about this Logically Ukraine already fought for these territories and lost. Remember the big 2023 Summer Offensive? We were told this is Ukraine's last chance to gain back those territories, if this Offensive didn't work they would have to negotiate a end to the War. Now all of a sudden the reality that everyone recognized back then is a "Non Starter" according to Zelensky
