Anyone else besides me and Jay Johnson in favor of banning duguout interviews during play?

I think they're awful.

It's especially bad when it's done for the stream only games. We don't need Kade Anderson getting interviewed for 15 minutes by two Texas goobers who can't string two coherent words together.

It's a little easier to deal with on the actual TV games, because the announcers are more professional. But most of the streaming guys are fricking awful and the interviews are just awkward and dumb.

It’s worse when they don’t show the game but the dumb interview instead

I don’t mind them interviewing the previous starting pitcher(s) when their team is on offense.

Interviewing coaches mid-game needs to stop.

I was just coming to edit my post to rant about this too.

Started hating them when I had to listen to them ask Paul Skenes every weekend how different LSU is than the AFA like it was the funniest question they'd ever concocted. Could tell he started getting tired of it too

Feels like they add 0 to the broadcast. The coach usually gives as short of answers possible and viewers just want the game full screen and for it to be over with.

Yeah, that is my biggest issue with them.

Former starting pitcher is fine as long as they stop taking up half the screen with it. Coaches midgame needs to stop, not one of them wants to be doing it

I don't understand why they don't record a quick interview during a commercial break, and then they can put that over the game once the game is back on. Would allow them to still do the interview and still allow the coaches to be paying attention to 100% of pitches being thrown.

My favorite from this past weekend was them interviewing Jay, Arkansas bunts for a hit. Jay immediately says, "this is why I hate doing these things." 45 seconds later after the interview is done, Ben says, "the coaches don't mind doing these."

Interviews with baseball coaches during the game are as interesting and insightful the two-question interviews with football coaches as they rush into halftime. Please stop.

This is the only correct thing to do. They’re not involved in the game as a player at this point, but interviewing coaches and players mid game is distracting as frick towards them

They do it for MLB games as well - always seems awkward and forced and most managers seem to be perturbed about doing them. Same with the miking the players.

The interview should be no longer than 2 mins and that's pushing it. They continue to talk the entire inning and it's annoying. It used to be quick now they want a life story and a breakdown of the story.

They're gaye just like the sideline coaches IV during football games.

I agree. But I will say Anderson was terrific. His parents raised him properly. Very good kid.

He was better than the two "professionals" interviewing him.

JJ was pissed Sat when they were IV'ing him and we made a bad play and he was like "see this why I hate doing these things". He obviously wanted to watch what was going on.
