Nice walk off last night, definitely need to crank out some more production today. Lorenzen's era is over 3.5 and over 5 on the road but he's not giving up many walks.

Are you currently above .500?

Yes.

Lose a game.

From a story in The Athletic on new Rangers hitting coach Bret Boone …

quote:

Hitting is contagious, and sometimes approaches by osmosis pay off. Just ask Boone, who attributes much of his view on the game to Mariners Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez.

Perhaps it is no coincidence Martinez joined the Mariners’ hitting staff last season after an upheaval. Seattle’s once-anemic offense so far ranks third in wRC+. The Mariners entered Wednesday with a two-game lead over the Rangers in the AL West.

Chandy assured me that hitting coaches don't matter and you're just a stupid pleb if you think so.

JP3 leading the team in HRs (6) and RBIs (21 - tied with Yainer) 41 games in. Just as the DAT expected

I’m happy for Pena that he’s put up good numbers. But the fact that he’s the best hitter right now explains why this offense is bottom 5. It’s bug, not a feature.

Yainer opted out of the first 3 weeks of the season and still leads the team in RBI. Every else not named Jeremy disappoints me

Save Isaac and Jwho Jr

And truthfully, there have been just enough mini-runs from the supporting cast to tread water

The frustrating part is that if their slumps were not so damn awful, this team would be sitting in 1st

This also from an all RHed lineup that the opposition makes efforts to avoid LHP

Dalen beat me to it!

Sucks he was so shitty this year after how much of a hero he was for the majority of last season. Saw that Whitley had an outing last night so he should be back soon. Guessing he and Sousa can take those “swing” multi inning spots in Scott’s place.

Such is the life of a middle reliever in pro baseball, tons of volatility. Almost like it’s stupid to give one a 3 year/40 million dollar deal

Nope. Nope Nope. I've been told hitting coaches are basically therapists. Only there to give advice when an appointment is scheduled. Everybody has their own hitting coaches. You cant expect them to identify flaws in a swing and fix it.

It's highly likely that our hitting coaches suck, and I'm not just talking about the MLB ones.

Idk. Let me just check in on our farm

AAA .217 AVG/.717OPS

AA .201/.591

A+ .219/.680

A .234/.714

A new generation of raw potential just waiting for Cintron to tap in.

I do enjoy the Twitter fans clamoring for Brice Matthews to take over at 2nd base as hes hitting .220 with a 28% k rate in AAA. How could he be worse than Brendicio Dubodgers right?
