That’s an hour drive, maybe less, this is stupid.

I call BS.....
Someone with a jet access like that chooses to live in Hammond?

At least they don’t have a celebrity endorsement or a talking lizard as their mascot.
I would fly too if I had the chance to avoid traffic on I-10/I-55 or the Causeway.
The only way I would be pi$$ed if this was the CEO of the Louisiana backed Citizen’s Insurance.

I’d love to know what company it is!

Look I hope insurance rates go down for sure. But this is sensationalist - every 2.2 work days is saying he flies to Nola on Monday and flies home at lunch on Friday every week. It’s only a 15 minute walk for me to work, but I take my car so that I can have my vehicle of choice present with me if I need transportation.

Someone go check flight aware and figure this out. I don’t have the time or energy to do it right now

They are apparently flying between the Hammond Airport and the Lakefront Airport. It doesn’t mean they live in downtown Hammond.

So you’re saying he flies in, gets hotel for the week, Ubers everywhere, and then flies back home which is an hour car drive away at the end of the week? Sounds pretty costly.

There were also trips to the beach and to Telluride.
But flying any jet from Lakefront to Hammond is way over the top.

And do the taxpayers pay for that through exorbitant fees?

Are you suggesting he’s taking the plane to NOLA just in case he needs it?

I wonder if the insurance executive is also the pilot. He probably uses it to keep his flight hours

There are only a handful of insurance companies that have their HQ’s in Louisiana. And they are all Workers Comp entities with the exception of the Gray Insurance Company which writes multi-line. Might be their CEO, I don’t know, but what I do know is that the workers comp market in Louisiana is fantastic- low rates, 300 carriers with filed here, and those carriers climbing over each other to write business cheaply. Juneau is implying that because this guy flies in each morning, you are being overcharged for your insurance. Straw man argument from a POS plaintiff attorney which is typical when you try and pass reform.
Frick this fat arse and his ilk.
He never mentions the company or the CEO in question. You’d think he’d want to get that on the record.

Is the tax payers paying for these flights through tax money or is the company doing it through revenue?

Yep. Funny enough I use to work with a guy that built his own plane. He lived in Nola but we had a job in Hammond that he would fly to every so often for site visits. Did it to keep his hours up but it was all a personal expense.
I don’t think anyone has a problem with a CEO taking a private jet, but using it that often for such an unnecessary distance. On the flip side, if you don’t like it then just don’t use that insurance company.

It’s a private company spending their money how they wants. Not really controversial.
I hate insurance companies too, but come on.
