When will Trump repeal the CAFE standards? Bring back the real V8 engines?

Bring back the GM Vortec 5.3 and the Toyota 5.7. Both are tanks and deserve to return to market.

Sorry it won’t happen. It would cost 100’s of millions to retool factories. What happens in 3 years if a D gets elected again.

Also, go back to R 22 for refrigerant. The cost has more than tripled in 6 years for a 3.5 ton Trane unit. I am told it’s due to EPA constantly banning refrigerants in favor of something “less” harmful to the environment.

It lasts longer than these newer multi-speed trannies.
In 2007 I bought a new 2007 Chevy classis LS. Now has 250,000 miles and engine doesn't use/leak oil. 4L60E has has 3 transmission flushes through the years. Still my daily driver. No GM built truck today is that solid.

This is the unseen and mostly unspoken of cost of our modern method of governing via countless EOs. Even when a conservative like Trump fixes old EOs that are bad it still comes with a cost of refitting to do things the old way and a lot of times due to that cost producers never will and that's IF a D doesn't show up in less than 4 years and force them back
