Forget the both being white comparison. Seems like very similar game to me in the few times I watched Laettner.

Laettner was a god.
Hell on the 92 dream team he shot just .001 behind Jordan from the field. Flagg is not capable of being on Jordan’s level for an entire Olympic run.

Yes, Laettner did not handle the ball like Flagg can. Also Flagg is a far better athlete

Flagg is several years younger than dream team Laettner. Flagg in 3 years will be an NBA all star maybe sooner.
And Flagg will be 10x the pro. Much better athlete and ball handler, can play all over the court, etc.

It was a much different game then. Laettner developed an outside game over the years, but at Duke he was more of a true post presence. Flagg can handle the ball and play outside comfortably at 6'8

Besides being white and from Duke, there are no similarities.
Laettner was a big PF/C and Flagg is a wing who can play guard and forward.

Flagg can handle the ball better the Leatner. But he wasn’t that great in the NBA. Had a decent career. Flagg has a chance to be a special player.

Flagg is much less of a dbag and doesn't stomp on opponents when they're down on the floor.

The 1997 Hawks (led by Laettner) ruined the Pistons season.

Then you don't remember Laettner at all.
Flagg is way more athletic, way more able to create, and can actually take the ball on the bounce against an NBA level athlete.
