If only someone... anyone could have seen this coming.

Woke backlash has struck yet again and this time it's among car giants Jaguar Land Rover who are currently on the search to replace their advertising agency after its controversial rebrand. Jaguar's rebrand video went viral for all the wrong reasons back in December last year and were criticised for their new look which was described as “the biggest change in Jaguar’s history – a complete reinvention for the brand”. Despite the Jaguar vehicle being noticeably absent in the brand’s new relaunch video, other iconic brand images were left out too, including Jaguar’s classic leaping-cat icon.
This was replaced with futuristic pink moonscape images, dotted with boulders and included a cast of diverse and eccentrically-dressed models. The result of this rebrand, however, was met with harsh backlash with many devoted Jaguar Land Rover lover’s not shy about their dismay towards the car company, resulting in Jaguar now launching a review for a new global creative account.
Months after Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) faced backlash over its controversial rebrand, so the hunt for a new creative account has been announced.
Daily Express reached out to JLR for comment regarding this creative account change and replied saying: "As a matter of policy JLR does not comment on any supplier arrangements.
"Accenture Song are currently under contract to the middle of 2026. We have nothing further to say on this matter."
The Telegraph reported the review will be looking to replace their account, currently held by Accenture Song, including its in-house agency, Spark44 until mid-2026, after its widespread criticism it faced including that from Elon Musk and Nigel Farage.
Musk commented on X on Jaguar’s new look asking: “Do you sell cars?” with British MP Nigel Farage also declaring his dismay with the new branding posting on X and declaring how the company deserved to go bust.
The brand overhaul didn’t end there either, as the company also announced plans to shift to electric vehicles and were also abandoning their iconic “growler” cat badge and now using a curved geometric J and L symbol instead.
But despite their best efforts to appeal to all, the results were met with loss particularly among its sales which plunged by more than 25% in 2024.
The brand also recorded selling 33,320 cars in the same year - a stark drop from the 61,661 that were sold in 2022 and 161,601 sold in 2019.
Dr Martina Olbert, founder and CEO of Meaning said: “Jaguar is trying to be super cool in an empty and therefore extravagantly visual way by jumping at overt DEI visual language."

"Cool" isn't exactly the word for Jaguar's charm. "Timeless" or "elegant" are where they need to lean in. I just can't see the market for a modern looking Jag when you could just buy a BMW or an Audi.

Copy nothing? That entire video looked like some Andy Warhol Studio 54 Klaus Nomi shite.

They were advertising to a crowd that couldn’t afford their cars. Just dumb.

Jaguar dealerships soon to be burned to the ground and Jag owners get ready for hefty bills for new paint jobs.
Leftist are flat out fricking insane.

Who is buying Jaguars? I don't think I've ever seen any new ones around.

The whole board of directors should be fired, too. How could you possibly approve a commercial for Jaguar that doesn't have a single car in it?

This entire ordeal, and I think some of those who know can recall, was originally a completed script that got recorded but never aired starring so called Head of Values BBC Ian Fletcher (Hugh Bonneville) and the CEO of their in house PR firm Siobhan Sharpe (Jessica Hynes) for the first episode of season 4 of W1A which, somewhat rather ironically, was also cancelled by the BBC.

Thats because there are almost none to be had. Theyre trying to wind down production of gas cars for their electric line.
I've never before seen a brand kill their product line, then introduce the new one later. This is not a good idea.

I wasn't even aware of this video until now, but, something I've noticed a severe lack of was vehicles. It's woke, it's not terribly woke like some of this crap over the years have been, but, ffs they could've added at least one car to help make me realize just wtf they were selling.

Did they fire the person that hired the ad agency?

Too
Late
A higher up saw that video and thought clicked “approved”. They/them keeps their job, for 2 more yr because they fired an equally woke ad firm.

Remember this? This is the nerd responsible for that ad campaign. These are the DEI f@gs corporations have been putting in their board rooms and in key positions over the last several years. While passing over normal, sane, business savvy applicants. What a fricking idiot, as is anyone who supported giving this queer and his agenda any credence.
