Read a post this weekend from a daughter of a friend. It was about a government worker who was arrested for molesting a kid. Her post read,"So we are going to deport him now, right, or is that just for law-abiding citizens?" The ignorance of that statement is hard to fathom. I texted her mom and told her that she may need to educate her family that CITIZENS don't get deported. They go to jail. And in this case, hopefully get put under it. There are no law-abiding people getting deported. They are all here ILLEGALLY. Which by definition means they broke a law. This world is really screwed if these people really ever lead us long term.

Pop was an idiot until then.

Her post was probably about potentially suspending Habeas Corpus.

In that scenario, the child molester, citizen or not, could hypothetically be put on a plane and sent to a 3rd world country (or any number of terrible things). There’s nothing stopping it from happening other than blind trust in the government to do the right thing.

No one from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, or Central America who came across the southern border should have a valid asylum claim.

No matter what persecution they were fleeing in their home country, as soon as they set foot in Mexico, they had successfully escaped. When they continue to the US border, they are no longer refugees. They are economic migrants. They can stay in Mexico. And if Mexico can't accommodate them, that's not our problem.

My son went to get Donuts Saturday morning and said there was a group of idiots protesting at a Tesla Dealership in North DFW.

One had a sign reading "DEPORT ELON".

So I assume they all get on some social media and plan their exciting Saturday protesting a guy who trying to save them money.

You'd be less frustrated going outside and try to teach the grass not to grow...... most of these lessons must come with extreme hardship and/or pain before they are learned by most liberals... if then.

Read it again. She’s arguing that the people being deported are law abiding, which of course they aren’t since they’re here illegally.

Then what’s the point of the 2nd sentence of the OP?

Did she mean “law abiding citizens except for child molestation” or “law abiding citizens w no crimes”?

Read the statement again. She thinks people here illegally are law abiding citizens

It’s pretty simple. She’s arguing that the people here illegally that are being deported are in fact, law abiding citizens. You’re trying to read into the statement something that isn’t there.

So it wasn’t about a government worker (read: citizen) who was arrested for molesting a kid, despite the fact the OP saying that’s exactly what it was about??? Literally verbatim.

What a bizarre interpretation you’ve created for yourself.

If you want to see some truly brainwashed youth, watch some of Charley Kirk. He goes to different college campuses and discusses political issues from the students. All of the progressive students
ideas and points of view are straight up Marxist propaganda one hears on the MSM.
Charlie does a great job of forcing them to reconsider and seek facts.

Why is it that some people don’t get this?

There’s no interpretation needed. She clearly believes the illegals being deported, are in fact, law abiding citizens.

I’ve set the stage that we won’t pay for her bad decisions but something tells me that I’ll be fighting with her mother about this in the very near future.

Mine are in their late 20's and early 30's now, with children of their own. They call me and thank me everyday for their lessons learned.

Good luck with the step child and wife. If THEY learn their lessons, all will be better off, if not, salavee.

Life is short, be the best you.
