Could “tank for Arch” be a legitimate goal?

Should be decide to enter in 2026, that would be awesome. Carr is out of the way. I know we just drafted Shough but Arch is projected to be a generational qb.

The guy has played very little meaningful college football yet.
He may not even come out after next year depending on how the year goes.

Arch has not impressed me at any level of his football career. Not saying he won’t because this will be his first season as starter, but to this point there’s no way I’d consider drafting him with my team’s first pick.

There has been talk from folks that the Mannings want Arch to be a 2 year starter before going to the NFL.

There is nothing generational about him right now. He’s no different than any other top QB in a good year.

Why would the Saints tank for a QB that couldn’t beat out Quinn Ewers? Seems risky.

I guess based on his college performance, the games he has won, the passing yards he has accumulated, and all the success he has achieved, tanking for him would be worthwhile.

That MIss St and UTSA game must've blown some nips off

I hope Arch Manning throws 15 TDs and 7,000 interceptions and his foot is run over by a Vespa. I’m so sick and tired of hearing about this QB that has done absolutely nothing. These are the same people talking about Spencer Rattler winning the Heisman and being the #1 pick after Kyler Murray left Oklahoma.

Stop making things up. It’s much more a question of whether he’s a starting NFL QB than this silly crap of being a generational QB.

It’s true. Just because some people hate the Mannings doesn’t mean they can’t acknowledge that Arch is expected to be a great qb.

If you know anything about the Mannings, then you’d know there no chance he’s coming out early. They value the college experience more than most and they don’t need the money.

There was once a time when Quinn Ewers and DJ Uoeeygooey were expected to be great. This doesn't mean he'll be bad but it's dumb to talk about him after like 3 games of playing time. It's dumber to talk about him since he won't even be coming out after next season. And finally it's also dumb to talk about tanking since we're going to be terrible and won't need to "tank".

True!

Not to mention he’s making a killing from NIL deals

I mean maybe. But we took a guy high in the second. How about we pull for him?

This is so silly. No one knows he will enter the draft next year—not to mention that he really has not proved anything at the collegiate level.
