I just googled it cause the gif looked wonkey and quotes online are often made up or misattributed. If you were there im sure you could reach out to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute and provide them the location and date and speech and any other helpful information and help them to take down that press release.

I just don’t get people who keep holding this out as some disqualifying event in what was, by any measure, a transformational presidency. IMHO, it is vastly overstated.
It was a blip, with the cautionary tale probably outweighing the arguable impact on illegal immigration.
