The Great Communicator, his Challenger disaster address to the Nation that evening was heartfelt and pitch perfect.

First president I ever voted for in 1984. I’ve been to his presidential library in California. Concrete column from the downed Berlin Wall on prominent display.

You miss Reagan and the environmental protections he put in place?

You miss Reagan and his foreign war mongering interventionalism?

You miss Reagan because he began deficit spending?

You miss Reagan why exactly? Explain what of his policies you most support?

But why do some people blame him for how California currently is?

California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA):
Reagan signed CEQA into law in 1970.
CEQA requires environmental review of projects before they are approved, assessing potential impacts and requiring mitigation measures.
This law has become a cornerstone of environmental protection in California, and has served as a model for other states.

I miss his tact and class. We could use that in our leadership now at all levels.
