A&M has some of the best pitching in the country. That generally plays during the post season.

Omaha isn't in Austin. Texas was gifted a joke of a schedule by the SEC.

you say this but offer nothing about why it's puzzling.

Is there a way to bet A&M doesn’t win?

Ot to mention they started 1-8 and will likely finish around 15-15, and we're preseason 1

They are definitely one of the best teams in the country.

That’s factually incorrect.

Texas hasn’t played well on the road against quality team. LSU has more recent experience and success. Same with TAM. Throw records out once the tournament starts. It all about which team is hot and focused at that time. It why most true Tiger baseball fans don’t panic over bumps during the season. I watched LSU lose to Alabama by double digits in May 1997 only to crush them in the CWS finals. It’s baseball.

1) Texas was never better than those other teams. They won a ton of close games to get to 19-2. Those things even out over time.

2) They lost their ace pitcher Jared Spencer for the season. It's hard to win a national title without a pitcher like him.

It’s odd that Texas is so low

Losing your Friday night starter drops odds as well. If we lost Anderson for the season it would be the same for us.

Vandy at +2200 is juicy.

Not sure why the odds are so different, but Fan Duel has Texas at +900 and Georgia at +1900. All the other teams are pretty close to the same number give or take.

They have a better SOS than LSU.

If we just narrow it down to the teams they did not both play.

Texas Schedule - (RPI)

vs LSU (9)
vs Georgia (1)
at Kentucky (41)
vs Florida (15)

LSU Schedule - (RPI)

at Texas (2)
vs Alabama (13)
vs Tennessee (14)
at South Carolina (62)

You can make that case in football, but certainly not in baseball. If the SEC did them a favor, they did LSU a bigger favor.

Looks fair to me. Texas is definitely not the favorite to win it all.

I also agree with Arkansas being the favorite. Looking forward to the weekend series

They started off awful and held the Tiger's potent offense to 7 runs in three games. Seems like they have good pitching to me?
