Walmart Surveillance Proves Jailed Georgia Man Didn’t Try to Kidnap Child: Lawyer

It's amazing to see his lawyer destroy the police's case so methodically.
This man is about to get paid, isn't he? Cobb County fricked; Patel stacked.

The mom wanted attention. End of story.

Once freed, I would sue the shite out of ERR'BODY except Wal-Mart. The accuser, the police department, and the district attorney would all owe me as much money as I could possibly extract.
False accusation, false arrest, false public statements by law enforcement enflaming the public, unnecessary escalation of the case by the district attorney, etc.
This man deserves to be made whole, as even with a dismissal or acquittal, the damage to his name and reputation has already been done. Although people hardly read newspapers anymore, there's a saying that the charges are always on the front page, but the retraction appears on page A-19, in the lower right corner, without a title or bold faced font to draw any attention.

Shame on this DA's office for continuing to prosecute this man.

Frankly I'm just fascinated by this case at this point. Well at least he is out on bond:

I saw this story on the news this evening. They said the guy had been in jail f’or something like 6 weeks.

Seeing her riding the scooter with her two kids on her lap one second and then walking around he next during the video was enough for me.
Patel- innocent
Mom- guilty of some tomfoolery

She also previously accused a Lyft driver of rape and filed a lawsuit against Lyft. Woman is a clown. But riding around in a motorized scooter when not actually being handicapped makes that pretty evident.

Unless I'm looking at doctored footage, it's difficult for me to understand how this has progressed to this point.

fricked up thing is if not for the video damn near everyone would have believed her over him. He would have been totally fricked.

These are the women that make Facebook claims about people following them or watching their kids and how scared they were.

That mom is a real piece of shite. And she isn't smart to boot. Falsely accusing someone of kidnap in a walmart of all places where every inch is surveilled is beyond dumb. This video evidence is enough to nail her tits to a wall. I hope she has to serve time for this one.
She backs into the display in the aisle and runs her kid over for gods sake.

I missed the part where she's not actually handicapped and admitted using the cart like a ride.

How a warrant was issued is beyond me. The suspect should have been questioned by the police and released at the most. And that is based on an honest person making the accusations. We've seen insanely harsher cases where the suspect was issued low or no bond immediately.
There are way too many horrendous DA's. The bad ones will not dismiss a case even when it is beyond apparent that the suspect is truly innocent because they believe in arguing their case just to pad their record. And that is a tragic miscarriage of our justice system. There is video evidence here with absolutely nothing more than a friendly old man trying to help a handicap woman keep her kid from falling.

Apparently ran over her child's foot with the scooter when she backed into the end cap and most likely thinking there was a lawsuit in that made up the entire story.....dude has been in jail or was in jail for about 6 weeks. He ought to be paid several million dollars, will be lucky to escape paying court costs and a fine. It is far to easy to wind up in jail in the US....

No doubt....even with the video he has been in jail 40+ days. And is still not out of the woods....may wind up in jail yet...its Cobb County, he is accused of a crime, thats about all it takes to wind up in jail for an extended period of time in the US....
