I assume she is homeless but she just sits there every morning with her bags looking off in the distance.

What are her bags looking for?

I see her everyday on my way to work. She is certainly homeless. No idea her story. But she stares out into the coulee like it’s talking to her.

I’ve always wondered what her story was. She was always on the sidewalk on Perkins near Tte Fresh Market but she relocated to bluebonnet. She doesn’t even position herself in a shaded spot. Full sun.

Same. Always thought she might be waiting for bus. Seems something different about her. Of the faces I see on various corners I am most compelled to know her story. Never asking for money, just always sitting minding her business. Never seen her talk to anyone.

I don’t know her story, but I have a friend that lives in that area. In the fall, there was a homeless encampment inside the old car wash of the gas station on the corner. Not sure, if they have cleared them out or not.

I’ve stopped to give her money, after passing her many of times. I’d never seen her beg for money or hold a sign.
I parked my truck and walked to her, and asked her name. She responded with “Christ Crucified.” I asked where she’s from, and again she responded with “Christ Crucified.” I handed her a small case with cash inside, and she said “No, I cannot. Christ Crucified.”
This went on for a few seconds longer until I just shoved the money in one of her bags and left.

Hey, what's she on, man?

I pass her every morning as well. There is another lady closer to Jimmy Swaggart on that little bridge that just stares down at the canal below.

Read a thread about her on the Nextdoor app not long ago. Several people have tried to help her by offering supplies and money, but she says she only accepts help from Jesus. There is even some homeless outreach program that knows about her and has been in contact, but she refuses their help.

Maybe that’s just her life pondering spot.
Smoke a couple rocks, drink some cheap alcohol and take it to the bluebonnet spot where she can ponder things that could have been

I saw her outside of Barnes and Nobles during a thunderstorm. I just had to go talk to her. She wouldn't answer any of my questions. Just would say God is good. Gave her some money which she took. I really wanted to know more about her. Best to leave all that alone. But she's there every single day with all her stuff. There's also a white lady who pushes a grocery cart. Always on the bridge on bluebonnet by Perkins Row looking at the canal. Saw her in Rouses. I have never seen either one panhandling.

You really are persistent in giving your money away. It’s weird.

Waiting for her documents to come in so she can get her Real ID to take flight for vacation. Good news, the younger lady off the College Dr. exit, her orthopedic surgeon finally got her off her crutches after 7 years. She's walking around noticeable better, still a little hobbled, though.

Which one? Is this the old white lady or black?

See her everyday. I think a lot of nights she sleeps in the covered bus stop.
There's another guy that walks up and down bluebonnet. He has a beard and long dirty blonde hair. He is never begging. Just always walking with bags and usually a big gulp. Ive seen him all the way by Costco, and all the way down at Perkins.

I was referring to the black lady who, along with her bags, is looking into the distance. The white lady who, with her cart, looks into the canal has me curious too.
