...for raping a 6-year old
Josue M. Soto-Rodriguez, 31, Lake Charles was found guilty of one count of first-degree rape on April 1
He was arrested in Philadelphia in 2022 after fleeing Lake Charles where he forced a child, who was 6 at the time, to perform oral sex on him. I can't find info on if he is an illegal or not but chances are he is.

So now Louisiana taxpayers will foot the Bill for this PoS until he's raped to death in genpop?
A single round of .22 costs about $0.02. Craniovertebral junction. Lights out!

If the judges that we pay our taxes for, don’t take care of these POS people, general population will have to.

I'll allow it. I was going for the more cost effective solution, but honestly either way is dirt cheap in comparison.
Even .50BMG and pink spray with flying limbage is still a very cost effective solution, and would be an exemplary method of deterrence.

Why life? Why not death? Why should he get to spend one more second amongst the living? He doesn't deserve to live and has, in fact, forfeited the right to live. Period.
Where's our resident "criminals are people to" poster to 'splain this one.

Kennedy v. Louisiana
*ETA: The Louisiana law actually states you can use the death penalty if the victim is under 13, but it's illegal until the USSC reverses Kennedy. If that ever happens, then the death penalty will already be on the books for first degree rape

D.(1) Whoever commits the crime of first degree rape shall be punished by life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
(2) However, if the victim was under the age of thirteen years, as provided by Paragraph (A)(4) of this Section:
(a) And if the district attorney seeks a capital verdict, the offender shall be punished by death or life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence, in accordance with the determination of the jury. The provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure Article 782 relative to cases in which punishment may be capital shall apply.
(b) And if the district attorney does not seek a capital verdict, the offender shall be punished by life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The provisions of Code of Criminal Procedure Article 782 relative to cases in which punishment is necessarily confinement at hard labor shall apply.

If I read the article correctly, he committed the crime in Lake Chuck and fled to Philly.
Philly arrested him on those charges and sent him back to LA to face Maine Justice.

For any reason or do you mean for rape? South Carolina has executed 4 in the last year.
ETA- disregard I read the case which involved child rape.
