Yeah, we all thought it was a mashup spoof of disaster films instead of a very close remake of 1 film even copying word for word the serious or set-up dialogue to the gags.

If you watch Zero Hour some of the dialogue is almost word for word. When the kid Joey goes to the cockpit and they give him a toy plane I was expecting the pilot to ask if he’s “ever seen a grown man naked” or if “likes movies about gladiators”
