I already knew about this Youtube channel, but some poster here mentioned it about a month ago and refreshed my memory. Anyway, this 20-minute video basically consists of regular Chinese people talking about their current hardships regarding food, jobs, etc.
I'm sure the CCP is painting Trump and America as "the bad guys," but these people aren't stupid. I doubt there is much trust for the government by a good percentage of the citizens.
Is this situation only going to get worse now that China can't use America as their own personal ATM Machine?

I'd take that with a grain of salt. I imagine the outlook in China isn't the best right now but the channel always has either clickbait thumbnails or exaggerated doom and gloom. Just doesn't feel right.

I know a few professors that came here after COVID and it is really obvious that the reaction is basically "I should've left earlier." Besides the crazy response China had, they also talk about how their CCTV only cares about if you speak out against the government. Not that I never believed what people said about China in general but hearing stuff like that first hand makes it worse than what we hear.

At what point do the 99% on this earth rise up and revolt against the 1% that control all the money and resources? I’m not sure it’ll happen in my lifetime but the gap widens and people are going to be desperate.

Obviously. Anything that comes out of China is propaganda. They want us to sleep well at night thinking that our debt fueled consumption drives the world; that it's our destiny to consume and their destiny to produce whatever we need. In the real world, dependent means vulnerable, and underestimating your enemy is the antithesis of "survival of the fittest". The US is headed for a Darwin award.
