Wait for you to understand that not liking market chaos isn't the same as supporting Iran?

Trump did this in his first term. The markets were good to go. Mean while Iran was broke and terrorism was almost extinct.

Trump should have done this a while ago, as many other presidents should have. the US is funding proxy wars all over by purchasing oil and chemicals from Iran. There is zero reason to do business with them at this point. We are paying them billions and they are still trying to get a nuclear weapon. Time to fight fire with fire.

Wonder if this has any practical effect on Russian purchases from Iran or if their sanctions are already above and beyond.

Much better argument. I can get behind this.

Not sure the ChiComs in particular are all that intimidated. Bulk of Iran's oil sales are to China and to a lesser extent India and Pakistan

Wasn't support for Ukraine tied to putting up with high oil prices? For the cause?

What about all that market chaos you were worried about just minutes ago? you consistently opine with arrogance from a place of complete ignorance. Not particularly unique…but always fascinating to see.
