I don’t know if this has/ever was made public, but has a potus & their vp taken the opposite stances on an issue?

Yes, Taft and Roosevelt went from friends to antagonistic. Reagan chose Bush even though they were intra-party rivals. Same with Johnson and Kennedy, they really disliked each other.

Also you have that whole thing where Trump and Pence fell out over the 2020 election.

I can't give you any specifics, but originally they didn't run together but as separate spots on the ballot.
So I'm sure those guys disagreed at least once.

our first few elections, we didn't have a "ticket" with Pres/VP. the 2nd place vote winner (EC votes) was the VP.

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson

William Henry Harrison picked John Tyler as his VP. Harrison a Whig and Tyler a Democrat.

GDR ditched Henry Wallace for Truman because Wallace was too big a commie.

It has happened a lot on individual issues. Did you forget Kamala calling Biden a racist?

John C. Calhoun stepped aside as Andrew Jackson’s VP because of Jackson’s handling of the Nullification Crisis.

Nope. Never. Never in the history of the United States have two leaders of the same party disagreed on an issue.

This is a new phenomenon, and we obviously have Trump being a horrible human being to blame for it.

There once was a dude named Pence,
who acted on false pretense.
He ignored the President's wishes,
siding with Democrat bitches,
and no one's heard from him since.

Actually McKinley and TR might fall in that camp. Jackson and Calhoun famously.

Yes.

Back in '75 President Ford and VP Rockefeller had a very public dust up.

Ford: "TASTES GREAT!!"

Rockefeller: "LESS FILLING!!"

Legend has it Bob Uecker has to step in and smooth things out.

Your sarcasm wasn’t even necessary; they used to be from different parties.
