I cleared my land at my house about 25 years ago and have sodded and planted good grass in areas through the years. Now my good grass is in good enough shape I think I can start killing the weeds in it. What is the best spray I can use to not kill my good grass? My good grass is a mix of Centipede, Bermuda, and St. Augustine.

Another vote for Celsius WG. I use it in my St. Aug/Bermuda lawn with no adverse effects.

Celsius. I just treated. My buddy is turf grass guy and informed me it works better to put capsules in water bottle and shake before mixing with your backpack sprayer.

If you have sedges, try the sledgehammer packets. I’ve never seen them so cheap on Amazon as they are right now. I grabbed a pack of two for $24 today.

Be careful with 2,4-D, especially if there are any tomatoes in the vicinity.

Mix in 2-4 gallons of water.

The pack contains enough Celsius WG to cover 4,000 sq ft at the low rate, or 2,000 sq ft at the high rate.

Off shoot. What will kill poison ivy but not the surrounding plants?

My buddy has a beautiful stand of azaleas but they are ate up with the poison ivy.

I would try these Roundup gel applicators. It's like a deodorant stick.

He would need 280ish packets.

I always get a kick out of the .25 acre advice.

I'd kill to have my back yard look like yall's small lawns. The problem is it would cost me 50k a year in time and man hours.

Can Celsius be used in flower beds and not kill my bushes or flowers?

It’s a broadleaf herbicide (and also some grassy weeds) specifically for use in turf. I wouldn’t use it in a flower bed. Could potentially kill everything.

I use Dura Core on my pastures to kill wees, not grass. Another product is called Remedy.

Can the area be mowed? Bush-hogged? Because that will work too.

I used 24d and atrazine kills all broadleaf. Spray 20-30 yards per year in side. I will rotate if available and spray dicamaba and atrazine always mix 12-14 ounces of Taurus to kill the ants. My mix is 64 oz atra 32 oz dicamba or 24d dash of dawn mix in 25-30 gallon sprayer should cover about 1 1/4 acre I listen to motor on wheeler to gauge my speed second gear bout 3/4 throttle I use a 300 Honda gets in tight spots. Just works better than side by side bought it specifically for these applications. Also spray before a rain for best ant control!!
