When will Todd McShay get the call from ESPN?

His final mock draft had sanders going to the browns in the 2nd round….
He got the team right at least!

Probably never. I used to like Mcshay. I don’t think it ever really came out what his “health issue” was a couple of years ago, but he hasn’t been the same since. He goes on with Russillo a lot during football season and is now working with the Ringer, it seems like sometimes he just short circuits and either stops talking or just stops making any sense at all.
I feel bad for the guy, it’s pretty clear to speculate he was drinking too much, but I don’t know if he had some kind of mini stroke or something or what, but he seems to struggle cognitively sometimes.

I always liked Mcshay a lot more than Kiper, was a shame ESPN let him and Pollack walk. Their podcast together isn’t bad at all

McShay's Ringer coverage is great.
But ESPN isn't looking for competent people that present succinct, fair coverage, they want lightning rods for ratings

He also nailed the Jaxson Dart Giants trade (though I think he had it with Detroit instead of Houston, still impressive)
I have no idea what happened with McShay, but I still am a fan if you are looking for draft coverage. I totally get what you’re saying about him short circuiting, and it can be a little rough to listen to him at times, but his coverage is great and he doesn’t act like a total child if someone has a different take on a prospect than him in my experience

Considering Stephen A Smith got a king's ransom from ESPN and he's the lowest IQ loudmouth out there, seems like Kiper is exactly who they want.

Portnoy could and should pay him. Seeing Gruden have to sit their with those pitiful sad sacks was brutal. Pair him with McShay and tell Brandon Walker to frick right off.

Russillo trolled the frick out of him with those shorts for Mcshays Sunday draft coverage.
At one point mcshay asked who Russillo thought was one of the most dangerous players in the league and Russillo said Aaron Hernandez with a straight face lol

I think this is confirmed as part of his issues. Not sure if he's off the sauce now or not.

Kiper this year is the only thing that tops how bad Gruden was Manziels draft year. I legit thought Gruden was going to get up and leave after Manziel was drafted because he wouldn't have anything else to talk about. it didn't matter what team it was or what their need was, every single team should have picked Manziel according to Gruden. Prior to this year, it was the worst draft coverage I have ever watched.

I don’t think this post is saying that

Gruden, unlike Kiper trying to score DEI points, had a reason. Gruden did the QB camps. That's his thing. He has very little to talk about with other positions other than, "he's a beast" or "that guy's a monster". I'm fine with that, because Gruden is a QB evaluator, and a damn good one. Pair him with McShay, and you've got something.

So maybe at least do your research and figure out which teams actually need a qb and talk about Manziel when those teams come up instead of talking about him being drafted by every single team that comes up. Like Kiper, he looked like a giant bozo. Gruden is 100% not a guy that needs to be on a draft day panel. Nobody on the planet is buying you as a scout much less feel bad for him that he has to sit with other clowns. Seeing as he fits right in.

Show me on the doll where Gruden touched you?

HILARIOUS!
Saying Gruden is a doofus isn't really a hot take buddy. Didn't realize he had white knights around here.

Being that confident in Manziel was obviously a mistake, but TBH I think there is a universe where Manziel does pretty well in the NFL if his head is screwed on straight. But I think a lot of QBs get ruined by external factors (even though some of these are self-inflicted)... drafted to a bad organization, chose their school poorly, parties too much, injuries

Nobody is saying he isn't a goof, but...and here is the important part...he's forgotten more about football than you will ever know, padnuh. It's a hot take to hold a grudge against him feeling like Manziel is going to be a special player, for some odd reason. Literally, no one cares or remember anything about that...but you. So...where on the god damn doll did Gruden touch you?

Wtf are you talking about? A grudge? This is a message board dumbass and what people are talking about right now is how bad Mel Kiper was with Shadeur. It was embarrassing. Another bad draft moment was Gruden doing basically the same thing but for Manziel. But somehow you felt bad for him for having to sit next to other bad announcers? Poor guy!

This isn't the funny joke you think it is. But it legit sounds like you want to suck his dong with how you're white knighting for him over something so stupid. I know you haven't been on here much but maybe get used to people responding to your post on a public message board and having a different opinion than you.
