I’ve been seeing this Jolie shower head commercial with this guy talking about his shower head not only being nice looking, but gives a great shower.

After looking to see why this shower head was so great, turns out it’s a filtered head for $165.

Never really thought about a shower head being appealing, but for 165 bucks, that thing better give a great shower.

Any benefits from a filtered head?

Would you go stand naked in the mist from a cooling tower at a refinery? That’s about what you’re risking by having an unfiltered shower head.

The Indians didn't use filtered shower heads. Look what happened to them

The same water you drink from the tap and wash your dishes with? Has it killed you yet?

No. Because I have filters on all my stuff.

Well, I live for danger. Thats how I am wired. I also, occasionally will take a shower with the water hose outside. Wild man.

Not sure, but the first thing I do when getting a new shower head is pull the water saver out. I need some pressure.

I have a filter on my water main where it comes into my home - so it is totally unnecessary, but I have pretty shitty well water.

However, I feel that if you’re drinking the water out of the tap, it’s probably okay to shower with.

It’s just a way to get you suckered into a filter subscription. If your water is that bad, you’re going to have a whole house filter.

Dermal absorption is a lower risk than ingestion. It probably isn't something worth worrying about.

So I was having a pretty bad exzema issue out of no where. Not something I had not dealt with in like 26 years.

Went on vacation and it cleared up in a week.

Went home, changed my shower head and got one with a filter (there are cheaper ones than 165) and i haven’t had the issue since except when I need to change the filter.

You do realize that most of the chemicals used to treat your tap water isn't even touched by a filter?

Mostly it removes solids such as lime and iron. Any filter you buy that says it filters chlorine is absolute bullshite.
