I just feel like following this team is pointless now tbh. Everywhere I try to find the bright spot and I can't find it.

I go from depressed to angry. If we really go through with hiring Dumars, keeping Green and trading Zion, I would have a hard time not actively rooting against the franchise going forward. Just keeping Willie Green would make me stop watching. It really is a sad state of affairs, so yes, depressed is a good description.

We're going to hit rock bottom if we don't get a good draft pick. Seems like that's the only thing left to look forward to.

Are you a new fan? All this is not really anything new. It comes and goes, there is nothing you can do to change it.

I'm excited to clean house and rebuild. This was a God awful season with little to no upside. I'm hopeful for the lottery and expect a ton of player movement..

I think it’s best for all of us for the team to move.

The fact that Shamit article confirmed that WG lost the locker room and Ownership is willing to choose a shite coach who hasn't earned anything over players because he is religious and is a nice guy to them is just......so insanely stupid to even comprehend.

I feel like us supporting this organization just feels wrong and we are clowns financing these idiots who don't care nor know wtf they are doing. They clearly taking advantage of the fans and doing some of the dumbest businesses decisions that new majors at a community college wouldn't make. It's insane to apply logic to this team and I feel dumber supporting them.I feel for players like Murphy and it's not surprising his camp is close to asking out.

But at least this season could have been, with health and some luck. I’m getting the feeling that all is lost, and all hope and possibilities of success are dwindling.

It's pointless to care about this team because this ownership don't prioritize winning. It's like a cap of what we can expect. The whole concept of fandom is "hope" and expecting to get lucky or get talent here that can do something special. Ownership financially are not willing to do that nor prioritize the necessities to do so, they only hope to con poor fans to believe that things will change so they can buy a ticket or invest in their brand.

Making money and saving money is first, doing just enough to win games comes second. Their is no purpose to win at the highest level here nor create a entertaining experience and impower to right people.

The scary thing is if we trade Z which seems likely, Z value is not the best and from a fan optics standpoint they will see this draft pick outside of #1 as a valuable asset to trade to make this team good enough to compete with hard workers fringe all star players Bam, Lauri, and Julius Randle. I'm expecting if we don't get lucky, we will trade the pick, trade Z, and try to compete with fringe all star vets as our core to sell tickets and compete for the playin.

This fits Joe Dumars motto, and ownership bank account.

I'm at the point where I'd feel bad for whoever we draft

I will be honest, I don't know how many situations in the league I would feel worse about than ours. Obviously, if I was at Dallas fan I would feel worse than I currently feel as a Pelicans fan but there aren't many. There is a world where we can land a good draft pick and hit on it as well as experience health for the first time in what feels like a decade. I'm just not sure if that world will ever actually exist in reality.

I don't like the Dumars hiring, but I would've been willing to see how it played out if they got rid of Green and brought in a coach that's a proven winner to lead this team. With keeping Green on and hiring a guy only because "you're comfortable with him" really puts me off as fan of the team. I barely watched the team and only went to a few games this year. It will be even less next season with the decisions that were made this week. I hope the Pel fan base feels that same way as I do and the arena is mostly empty next year to send a clear message to Gayle.

I’ve been depressed about this team for a couple years (including last year when we were the ultimate, fake good team)

I’m optimistic now with Griffin gone and Zion on the way out of the door

People are pretending that we just turned into a clown show, but we have been one 80% of the Zion and Griff era.

It’s amazing how fast we’ve gone from one of the brightest futures in the league, flush with loads of young talenr, to the pits.

If we do get the #1 pick, if I'm Cooper Flag I wouldn't want to play for this organization and would send a message for them not to draft me. He should have no faith that this organization can and will develop him as a player and is committed to winning.

The issue with that is.

Washington, Charlotte and the Jazz are equally trash franchises for the most part. Perhaps the Jazz are a slight tier above with Ainge in charge.

The NBA needs to crack down on player empowerment

If Cooper Flagg comes into the league and randomly starts acting like a douche and trying to call the shots, I don’t know why any team would ever try to draft or deal with a non European player.

Easily the least I've cared about this team in the 15+ years I've been a fan. I'm just about to the point where I'm actively rooting against them, out of spite. Hiring Dumars was the last straw, just as restructuring Carr for a second time was my last straw as a Saints fan.

Gayle Benson can get fricked. She's the worst owner in the NFL and NBA.

And yes, besides Dallas, we our the most depressed fanbase in the league.
