Glad we can put this to rest. Hope he can recover quickly

Selfishly, I hope this means that MLB teams won't touch him this draft cycle and he'll come back for his redshirt junior year.
Also thank god we can finally put that retarded "it's not an injury" theory to bed. Guy is having fricking back surgery, and if it's set to keep him out for the remainder of the season, it's likely a fusion. Injections or nerve burns would not necessitate a multi month recovery.
Also pretty wild that every year that Jay has been here, outside of year 1, he has lost at least one pitcher pre-season due to an injury. Guys expected to contribute at that.
2023
- Taylor (pre-season)
- Noot (pre-season)
- Shores (mid-season)
- Edwards (mid-season)
2024
- Shores (pre-season)
- Noot, (I know he pitched, but he was effectively out for the season)
2025
- Guidry (pre-season)

That sucks. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery

I thought he would be back around father's day

I hate that we will miss Guidry for the season but relax with this. Jay led it on for a month and a half and finally a decision was made. No one knew it would this bad. We were all hopeful but after week 5 I even started a thread about what was going on. Fingers crossed he comes back next season even stronger

Also lost Sheeriñ. And I was really excited to see him on the mound.

Sheerin has not been officially ruled out yet.

Same. I think sheerin was going to be one of the top 5 pitchers on staff.

Ok, so you're saying there's a chance.

I am saying there's a chance. Jay talked about getting his knee stable before the arm ramp up can really happen, and I'm fairly confident Sheerin threw live ABs within the last few weeks, Have not gotten an update since, but that is what I know.
Many assume he has been officially ruled out for the season but unless I missed something, Jay has not uttered those exact words yet.

You can’t count Shores and Noot last year when they were injured the year before. TJ surgery is basically 12-18 months for rehab. No one thought Shores and noot were pitching in February of last year.
