Stuck with this team through I don't even know how many tear downs and rebuilds at this point. This will be the straw that breaks the camels back. fricking inexcusable lazy terrible arse hire if it happens.

I am feeling the same way. Been with this team since the very beginning through all dark times but I don’t think I’ve ever felt more hopeless about this franchise than I do today. Complete joke we are being laughed at

I cancelled my season tickets many years ago but even I don’t think I’ve ever been so disconnected from this franchise. And I was VERY disconnected when I let my tickets go

The only thing we can hope for is Gayle sees all the negative reaction and backs out. She fired DA because of all the fan backlash so it’s something she clearly looks at. I’m just wishcasting at this point

Hiring Dumars really makes no sense. I’m guessing there will be no “search” and this is what they’ve come up with. I just think the game has passed the old heads by for the most part. I’d prefer to take a chance on a younger guy from a successful franchise.

My belief is they seen the praising/excitement about the Saints when they started bringing in people with Louisiana ties, and they think they can do the same with the Pelicans.
Problem is they don’t realize those people with Louisiana ties on the Saints are actually good at their job, Dumars is not

I just can't believe someone walked into Gayle's office and said "We should hire Joe Dumars". And that she agreed.

The only backlash is on this board mostly, there’s really not enough in the city to where her dumb arse will hear it.
The casual fan probably recognizes the name, sees he has a championship on his resume , and thinks it’s a great hire
