Have you ever sold an expensive item and had someone pay you in $20 bills before?

I’m dealing with my late Mothers estate and she had a 2016 Honda Elite van in the garage with 20k miles on it. Damnit the guy was three hours late of whom I know and is an engineer at Lockheed Martin and banks with USAA which doesn’t have a local branch. He pulled $21,000 out of an atm….

I didn’t know you could do that shizzle?

That’s a lot of $20 dollar bills!

He said he did $500 transactions one at a time took almost 2.5 hours.

Not abt the number of transactions. There is a daily withdrawal limit.

I don't think that's possible... and if he did do it, someone is going to be in contact with him soon. Uncle Sam doesn't like it when you lay hands on that much of your own cash.

I sold a car to someone that said "don't judge me" right before paying for it in $5 bills. I definitely judged him and his girlfriend. The kids and I had a blast acting like mid 90's rap stars posing with stacks of cash.

Edit: we put the money in a box with an ozone generator to sanitize it before anyone else touched it.

My bank has a daily limit for ATM withdrawals.

I believe you can ask for an increase in the limit but not sure what the max would be.

42 atm transactions would not take 2.5 hours.

Seems like $5 and $10 bills are becoming rarer to see these days.

that you can but I’m pretty sure that’s a transaction by transaction change, not a blanket change

Not to the tune of $21k. Banks report transactions over $10k...highly doubt you can walk away from an atm with $21k.

Not as a seller, but I once bought a Porsche convertible with hundred dollar bills. Went through TSA at the airport no questions asked, maybe since a domestic flight and not international. Hitched a ride from the airport with a stranger who appeared military, who dropped me off at a 7-11 convenience store in a sketchy area and I called a cab from there. All the while with $60K in a backpack.
