Why hasn't this happened yet? An interstate lane that runs parallel to the commuters. To get these freak shows that drive the speed limit in the left lane off the road. Either that or make it illegal for them to pass and to enforce a minimum speed on the right side. Could you imagine an interstate without trucks and truck drivers?!?!

But how will they pass another semi by going 0.000001MPH faster?

Because Interstate construction sucks as is.

They’re not camping just to get around semis. They camp because they were never taught the actual reason for the left lane in the first place.

Removing semis to their own dedicated lanes would be a good thing, but would not fix the problem

How about you stay off the interstate. Those truck drivers are getting shite where it needs to go. Like your groceries. You aren’t important enough to have to be anywhere so you should probably stick to the backroads.

Agreed, but every little bit helps. With the new setup for 12W going through Baton Rouge, there's absolutely no reason for any large trucks or anything with more than 2 axles to be in the far left lane in either direction.

Think progressive little man. There is room for all of us. Too bad you never can leave the slums of your little Texas town

They don’t get to pass it. They can stay behind each other.

There's very few good reasons to have a semi in the passing lane.

Or we could make it where they have to stay off of interstates unless between 10:30 pm and 6:30 am. It would be better than such a small percentage of the traffic working so hard to inconvenience the majority.

The sheer cost of that makes it impossible

Also, not all 18 wheelers are governed at the same speed so that would suck if a truck couldn’t pass

I had an 18 wheeler cut me off changing lanes to the middle as the left lane cones closed that lane off. (I-10 on MS around MM 16). It could have been a really bad accident.

18 wheeler drivers need remedial driving lessons.

Would be nice if at least they avoided transversing cities between 7-10am and 3-6pm

You cant tell me we don't have enough money to take on such a beneficial project. The amount of money that goes into road/interstate construction is absurd. God forbid we make these mongrels a new interstate to drive on thats just for them
