Just found out how much additional I have to pay into our illustrious state and federal governments. Meanwhile, your average imbecile out there has already blown their $13k "earned income" refund on shoes, cell phones, booze and weed.
Next time somebody says the rich don't pay their fair share may be the last time they exist in my orbit pain free.
The top 25% of taxpayers pay 89.2% of all federal income taxes.
The top 1% pay 45.8% of Federal Income Tax

I think we should just go to all sales tax but only put sales tax on things rich people buy, like Cheetos and menthol cigarettes

I understand your frustration. I’ve had several thousand dollars to pay at the end of the year the last 3-4 years. When you see all of the waste that DOGE uncovers it really makes your blood boil. We started taking out the maximum out of our paychecks and this year somehow I’m getting a few hundred back. We also started an LLC on our “rental property” that my daughter lives in so everytime we make a trip to the hardware store, it’s a write off on it. Oh, and frick that smart arse that commented above me. Bastard probably lives in his/ her mothers basement

Wrong. The federal government has created them. Some of them do work, but well under half the population actually pays federal taxes.

Exactly. The people who say "the rich don't pay their fair share" typically aren't paying anything at all, and have no idea who is paying for the benefits they get from the government.
