News flash to people of Boston. Racism was in every city in America and literally ever city had the exact same experience. Please stop making shows about racism in Boston like its uniquely special. I wish they made a basketball focused directors cut of this series. Bill Simmons please stop making sports shows and just be a race relations historian.

Boston is a typical white liberal town. They cry racism, but don't want black people to move in their neighborhoods.

“Great glad we can move on. Can we move there?”

I grew up in the deep south, went to college in Boston and I think it is unique with regards to race. It may have gone through the same experience as other cities, particularly in the northern US, but it has produced a different outcome than almost all the others. Boston is pretty much the only major city in the U.S. north of the Mason Dixon run by Democrats for generations that isn't a total shite hole. Serious question: why is that? Even though it has a massive university population, it seems like it's really only been in recent years that you've seen the kind of unhinged lunatic leftist activity in Boston, again relative to other northern cities. What is the difference between Boston and those other cities?

It is an interesting topic and you made some fine points in your post. Why do I have to get this information crammed down my throat in a series about Boston Celtic basketball every four or five years?

I dont have any idea what you are talking about. How fragile must a person be to even think they get dunked on via message board.

Lol

Why would someone start a second thread 3 weeks apart about a sports documentary they’re not required to watch?

Also, leading w “people of Boston” on a Louisiana-centric sports message board is inadvertently, very very funny.

Black players in the NBA used to joke about "getting traded down South to Boston".

Probably because you lived there and realized it isn't much different than any major US city. The extreme stuff you see on TV is pretty rare no matter what you see on TV. Whether it's Boston, NYC, LA, or even SF that shite is so overblown it's crazy.

Every time I go to LA there are mountains of literal garbage and homeless people camps everywhere I go.

Was this a Ken Burns production?

No. There was more discussion of racism in the Boston Celtics series than Burn's Civil War series.
