Scott Martin just quit BASS

He decided to quit Bass to save face because he was about to get DQ’d for asking for info during the off limits for the second consecutive event. He can step back and focus on social media and be fine but his credibility as a professional angler is shot. From listening to other anglers, this was a long time coming, as he has a long history of bending/breaking rules. BASS has had a rough couple of years but atleast they didn’t show favoritism toward one of their biggest stars.

Easy to walk away when you're not making a living at it. BASS has really screwed the pooch lately and the anglers are not making enough to continue. Several have withdrawn for this reason alone.

Ray Scott has to be rolling over in his grave given what BASS has turned into, what a cluster. The number of empty seats at the classic was pretty telling.

If you watched the video he said the conversation was 7 months ago. Whether it was or not someone protested and has it in for him. He mentioned several times he knows who it is. I don’t know who it could be but I don’t blame him at all for leaving. Fock all that bullshite

Talked to a rep in the fishing industry today who was at the classic and he said the expo has good attendance but the actual weigh ins were abysmal and said bassmaster is concerned

Hope he doesn't join Roland and start guiding on Headwaters and Stickmarsh. Daddy Martin runs around those two lakes like he owns them and will move you off a spot if he wants to fish it.

Seems to me that if you are fishing a spot on public waters, you just tell him to go somewhere else and keep on fishing. If he doesn't like it, tough shite.

He has been doing this for a long time, it was time he was called on it. All you have to do is speak to the other guys.

If Ol' Roland tried that with me it would cost him some $$$$$. So, he would have to pay me, or he leaves. If he hangs around I'd ruin the spot for the rest of the day.
I know he still guides but that doesn't give him the right to tell another fishermen to leave a spot.
