Anybody dealing with that at this point in time. Been going on a week for me and now my wife has it. I believe it's a little head cold and allergies from the pollen outbreak. Taking Nyquil, aspirins, cough syrup, this crud is the worst.

Really no different then a cold like the OP is describing. There is literally no reason to get a COVID test here unless you want to go around telling people you have COVID and providing money to whoever they bought the test from. Treat the symptoms and just wait for the virus to go away. Might take a while.

Spent too much time outdoors I believe. Don't know if it's the covid, just stopped up head big time, no fever or chest congestion.

It's going around our office.
I only worked four hours last week.
Upper respiratory crud and a nagging cough. Tiredness.
Urgent care doc just gave me cough syrup and a Z pack.
Co-worker said his doc told him he had Influenza A.

I hadn't been sick since December 2019.

It's taking a hell of a lot longer to bounce back.

The wife is getting over it now. It started last Tuesday started with a slight fever and cold-like symptoms. The chest and nasal congestion got worse. Mucinex and DayQuil didn’t do anything and she had trouble sleeping at night due to the cough. We went to urgent care and they determined it was bronchitis but also ordered a chest X-ray just to rule out pneumonia. The X-ray came back good. They’ve had her on a 5 day z-pack, an inhaler to be used as needed and a cough suppressant. This day 4 and she’s much better now. Oh and a humidifier for the bedroom too,

Rhinovirus, the primary cause of the common cold, typically manifests with symptoms like a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, and cough, along with possible fatigue and body aches.

May be this. Friend with kids have been passing this around.

Mix in a neti pot type system to flush your sinuses.

Also, we stopped doing the Nyquil/Dayquill stuff and switched to the Theraflu powder pouches with great results

The extreme (for BTR) cold of this winter seemed to make the weeds spring up in the lawn like a mofo. Then we are next to a wooded wetlands with stagnant water and more airborne mold.

Anyway worse than normal this year but seemed to be short lived not months on end like last year.

Just a PSA I want to put out there.

I have allergies and chronic sinusitis and it's been terrible for months even with taking decons, Flonase, allergy meds and flushing. I stumbled on a video from a doctor recommending NAC for sinus health and I've been taking one a day and it's a gamechanger for me. I haven't had to take the decons and rarely use allergy meds or Flonase.

Here's the link if you want to check it out.

ETA: I'm using Pure Encapsulations 600mg.

How long have you been taking it? Do you take it at the onset of symptoms or as a preventative?

I've been on it for three weeks daily, it's a supplement with other good benefits.
