I google size needed and find them online shipped to my house for free. Then take them to local shop to be mounted, balanced, and an alignment.
Got my 35x12.5x20 falken wildpeaks $125 a tire cheaper this way than anyone near me could match.

Why not get them from discount Tire? They match any price and they ship to their store for install.

If there is a discount tire around, I try to go there. Competitive pricing and they've just been good on service, granted the wait can be long sometimes. For instance, my wife got a flat right outside of one. Never bought tires there for that vehicle. They repaired it for free.

I buy mine from Southeast Tire on Airline near the hood.
They mark up a % from Area Wholesale Tire, but include installation. Got a set of Mastercraft installed for around $700.
Call, tell them what you want, they will give you an all-in price

Dodge dealerships run a "buy 3, get 4th for $1" sale every few months.
You don't need to drive a Dodge to use the offer.
They're actually running it right now

I do this exact same thing. I got my last set off of Ebay. Got them for half the price I would've spent at the local tire shop. Ship straight to my house. Throw them in the back of the truck, carry them to get mounted, balanced, and aligned. This is the way to go.

Costco
Fun fact:
Costco does not put aftermarket tires on aftermarket wheels. You can buy the tires from them and take elsewhere, but not doing that. I also wish they did alignments. They give you a discount to get alignments from somewhere else, but it’s a pain to go to a second place and schedule when you can do everything under one roof somewhere else. Just an FYI if your shite isn’t stock

Discount Tire is new to me, just a couple of purchases, but they have been very impressive. In a time where service is usually awful, their folks are outstanding at our local store.
I sat in the lobby for about 20 minutes while they fixed a leak and watched them interact with customers. If the employees were not busy, they would walk from behind the counter and greet new arrivals before the customer even got in the door. Super polite and professional. It was a rare treat to watch them work.
I'm not sure if all their stores are run this well or if this one just has a heckuva good manager.

Most of their stores are like that. I greatly apprthst you can make an appointment, show up and be back on the road in under an hour. It also helps that they don't try to upsell you a bunch of other crap except maybe windshield wipers.

I called everyone in Houma and Prairieville for a price on new tires including discount tire and the prarieville chabills had the best price. They also price match but I couldn’t get a better local price. This was last week on Toyo AT3.
