Wilson Martell-Lebron was facing two felony charges from 2020 related to filing a false application for a driver’s license. After some COVID-related delays, his jury trial began last Thursday, according to court records. Court records note that Martell-Lebron was present, with a Spanish interpreter, on Thursday, but did not appear on Friday.
The Boston Globe first reported that Martell-Lebron was detained by ICE agents late Thursday afternoon. Plainclothes ICE agents placed Martell-Lebron in an unmarked van and drove away, according to a video shared by Martell-Lebron’s defense attorneys with multiple news organizations.

Imagine the fun and frenzy when Agent Sullivan and his fellow agents bring those same Obstruction charges against the judge for attempting to interfere with a federal agency in an area where the federal government has primary authority.

There are so many things to point out here.
Two felony charges from 2020 are only just now going to court in 2025? And because of Corrvid "delays"?
The accused was present with a Spanish interpreter, so he has been in this country we must assume for well over five years and still hasn't learned rudimentary English?
ICE came in to enforce federal law, and the judge chose to hold the federal agent in contempt while dismissing the case against the actual criminal?
Deport the criminal and the judge and every court officer. I'll pay the airfare myself.

I get how absurd it is for a state judge to hold a federal officer in contempt for enforcing federal law.
But I also understand why the judge is pissed. Jeopardy attaches once a jury is impaneled and double jeopardy prevents a retrial. So, they basically gave the perp a pass on whatever crime he was charged with.

Who gives a shite he’s gone and out of the country, victory for the good guys . They all need to go by any means it takes . If this is what it takes so be it.
