"The Ragin Cajuns - Now it's just the University of Louisiana... It used to be Louisiana-Lafayette..."
Incorrect, Coach. It's still UL-L.
I feel like it's about time to officially do something about this. Little brother is taking a few too many liberties.

Everytime Gruden opens one of those boxes, I wait for him to cut himself.
Dude has zero finesse when using any of the sharp instruments they give him to open those boxes. Opens them like a caveman

I think you should protest at the Capitol.

Why you getting mad at me, bro? Y'all are breaking the rules. There is no University of Louisiana unless you're talking about all 9 member institutions.

No worries, baw. I ain't mad one bit.
It's been a nice easy day flipping burgers at McD's, soon to go slick back my hair and head to Night Town for some fist pumping over this Gruden video.

Thank you.
Anyway, I had ChatGPT draft this polite, informative letter to send to the UL-L Board of Supervisors. I'd appreciate it if you'd sign on to it as well:
quote:
Subject: Request for Review and Enforcement of University Naming Conventions
Dear Members of the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors,
My name is [Your Name], and I am a Louisiana resident, taxpayer, and graduate of one of our state’s flagship public universities, LSU. I take great pride in the strength, transparency, and integrity of Louisiana’s higher education system, and I’m writing today to express concern regarding continued inconsistencies in institutional branding within the University of Louisiana System.
In 1999, as part of the official rebranding of several institutions in the UL System, it was agreed that no university would refer to itself solely as the “University of Louisiana.” Instead, all institutions would include their geographic designation — such as “University of Louisiana at Lafayette” or “at Monroe” — in both formal and public-facing uses. This standard was established to protect naming equity among member institutions and avoid confusion within the broader public.
Despite this, UL Lafayette continues to market itself, particularly in athletics and media, simply as “Louisiana” or “University of Louisiana.” This practice directly undermines the spirit and letter of the 1999 agreement, and creates a perception of favoritism or special treatment that is inconsistent with system-wide policy.
I respectfully ask that the Board formally review this issue and determine whether current branding practices are compliant with UL System regulations. If violations are found, I urge the Board to take the appropriate steps to ensure fair and consistent enforcement of naming conventions across all member institutions.
This is not a matter of rivalry or school pride, but of fairness, accountability, and responsible stewardship of Louisiana’s public education system. All institutions deserve equal treatment under the rules — and taxpayers deserve transparency in how those rules are enforced.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
[Your Full Name]
[City], Louisiana
[Phone Number – optional]
[Optional: LSU Graduate, Class of ****]

Eh, it’s too woven into the sports lexicon at this point. And it’s not really a hill that I’m gonna die on so I’ll just call them Louisiana.

It's not the worst letter I've seen. I'm sure I've written worse.
But you need to delete this part:
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette administration does not, including the athletic department, market itself as "University of Louisiana". Much to the dislike of some of the diehard university base.
"Louisiana Ragin Cajuns" is the athletic branding, no different than "Nevada Wolfpack" for the University of Nevada at Reno. If you ever look at any official media from UL-Lafayette or any of its official social media like LinkedIn and such, it's University of Louisiana at Lafayette when highlighting the university specifically or any academic accomplishments.
I just don't want you to construct an inaccurate letter.
As a current LSU tuition payer for a ChemE undergrad who I am a proud parent of, I will still have to decline your offer to co-sign the letter showing concern about the athletic branding as Louisiana Ragin Cajuns.
Please don't let that stop you from moving forward with your plans, though.
Sincerely,
RaginCajun03

I never do. Alway hang it on the rear view mirror of my Honda Civic when not wearing it so I don't ever leave it at home.

Thank you.
It’s ATHLETIC BRANDING.
No single topic can reveal the owner of a micro penis like this one. Baby-dicked LSU fans are drawn to this like months to flame.

Why did they do this?
For brand exposure. It obviously worked. Someone randomly outside of their regional footprint might see this and discover them.
I don’t see why so many people who are fans of a global brand like LSU have a big issue with this. Damn have some state pride. It’s cool that there’s other teams in Louisiana making noise at their level.

This. Trying to monopolize success and branding in this state hasn't really worked out well for us.

It's canon now, Giantkiller has a baby dick. Maybe he should draft a letter about that.
