About 40lbs heavier than 60 years ago, I believe. Same for men. We are a nation of fat asses.

Some of the women on this board will call me anorexic. My BMI is in the healthy range.

What I’ve noticed is how young girls are blowing up. It use to be after three kids and menopause, now it’s right out of the gate.

95 pounds seems extremely low, but you’re also nearly a dwarf so maybe it ain’t that bad

Body positivity in it's infancy was a great thing but it was overtaken by the landwhales.

It’s a big problem. And among black women it’s highest.

Men are also fatter but by not as high a percentage.

Yep.
I hate crowds so I don’t frequent places like malls and festivals much. But walking around the German Festival in Tomball yesterday and people watching, I’d estimate 1 out of every 4 people was obese.
It’s pathetic

Look at how many you see riding around in the grocery store on scooters, they are doing their part to get those numbers up. Is there a breakdown by demographics?

A good weight for a male is roughly 105 + 6 lbs for every inch over 5 feet tall.
For females 100 lbs for the first 5 feet with 5 pounds for every inch over that.
Disclaimer: I exceeded my own guidelines about 20 years ago.

That used to be pretty commonplace, but then so we’re slimmer figures being more attractive to men. I think when you compare it to what people find attractive today in big butts and large thighs its relative to the size of women getting large and in charge, and we’ve just adjusted our expectations.
