Where would you like to see the White Lotus go next?

Location and what type of people would comprise the cast?
I think Jamaica would be interesting with:
—A wealthy black American family with kids
—A mixed race gay couple
—Shane & Rachel are back but this time traveling with her parents
—A married local couple on staff and the husband does something to piss off the black family and gets fired

Generally speaking, the production works with Four Seasons brand ... so Jamaica is out. And not really Mike's style anyway.
Scouting begins soon in Europe, which was made public by an HBO exec. I have heard a few things, but cannot say much at this time. Mike also hates the cold, but wouldn't be shocked if it's a new direction. Clearly, won't be tropical like 1 and 3.
I do think Australia, Japan and Mexico will be in the mix for a Season 5 and maybe 6. I suspect it will wrap up after 5. Perhaps even Africa.

Some place like Jamaica with similar racial dynamics. He hasn’t focused on race as the overarching theme yet. Would be interesting to see him take that on and deconstruct it.
Is the show contracted with Four Seasons? Or could HBO contract elsewhere?
Didn’t y’all film at the Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok? I thought there were multiple resorts used this season.

- Budapest
- French Riviera
- Geneva
- Istanbul (multiple locations)
- Hampshire (UK)
- Lisbon
- London (multiple locations)
- Madrid
- Milano
- Megeve (France)
- Paris
- Prague
Think definitely something with a Chalet, mountain feel could bring something fresh.

BB ... you are fairly spot on. As usual.
I guess the "main" resort has always been the Four Seasons, but we did use 5 different hotels this season, so i do think things are open for change. Chalet or City based might be the way.
