Bosch Legacy final season 3/27

Apparently this is out today. The first 4 episodes anyway. Weirdly feels like no promotion at all for this last season. I was going to start the new episode of Reacher and my wife went to get a drink so while I waited I looked to see what what was there. It's not even prominently on the main page.
Spoiler alert from the books
Anyway, I think they are introducing Renee Ballard this season to setup a spinoff.

Thanks for the reminder. Just recently watched the whole thing for the first time.

Lance Reddick played a great role in the Bosch series. RIP.

Such a great series only to turn weird with the daughter and Freevee move. I still enjoy it, but it's just odd how it shifted.

That is exactly how I found it too, did you just happen to finish Tulsa King too
Saw they were going to stick with 10 episodes, and the final drop will be 4/17.

First couple of seasons were ok. Tried to be loyal to the books.
Hey I get it, have to expand the brand to bring in female readers...but this character is so poorly written and unpleasant its cringe city. Connelly did a great job with Bosch and his orbit but when he leaves that lane its pure garbage.
SPOILER: In the most recent book Maddie solves the Black Dahlia murder!!!!!!!!!!

Premieres this fall. Maggie Q is generally good in these type roles. Maybe it'll be a decent show.

Legacy s1 was absolute trash and obviously made on a shoestring budget.
S2 was much better.
S3 is back on regular Amazon and so far feels exactly like a season from the original run. Thankfully they brought Robertson back, dude was easily my favorite supporting character.

Solid four episodes.

I didn’t see the end of episode 5 coming but knew what was about to go down right before it happened, if that makes any sense. Still a good bit to wrap up in 4 episodes.

TIL Hieronymus Bosch was a 16th century Dutch painter know for religious motifs. For those that read the books is this mentioned?
The Last Judgement
Hell
Garden of Earthly Delights

I cannot stand his daughter. She has been the most annoying character in the whole Bosch universe.

The books are not in order so there is a short recapitulation about Bosch in each book in case the reader is new to the series. His name, orphanage background, tunnel rat in Vietnam.

Yes this is mentioned in the books more than once.

Cool. I assumed they did because it is unlikely an author would saddle a character with the name Hieronymus without explanation or attribution.

Latest two episodes are top notch.

Final 2 episodes are up. What a weird season. There was a lot that I liked but the final episode being the backdoor pilot for the Renee Ballard show was weird. Why not introduce her in like episode 7 or 8, you could still have Harry closing the other case while working with her and you give her a better introduction so that someone might care to check out her show. I generally like Maggie Q and the Ballard in the Bosch books is fine but if you've never read any why would you tune in based on this episode?
I'm guessing they bring Bosch back for at least a few episodes of her show to bring in new people but this felt really rushed imo.
