This has happened before and after they restored my account access after 2 weeks I didn't change banks. I have 2 business accounts with them and to open new biz accounts somewhere I have to renew my DBAs with the county which is a PIA. I'm not going to be lazy this time. What national bank should I change to? I have to deposit cash so I need local branches.

Charles Schwab

Best banking company I've been with and I like to try them all.

Do not use CHASE!

I used them for a small business account. Made a $5k cash deposit and the teller stole the cash. Deleted the transaction after I walked out the door. No clue what he (who was Trans and dressed as a woman btw but had a beard) did about the video. My only saving grace was I went in my office trash five days later and found the deposit slip. Transaction was on a Thursday. Got the slip out of the trash on Monday because the trash didn't get taken out on Friday like usual. Total stroke of luck.

CHASE fought me every step of the way. Wouldn't tell me shite and denied the transaction ever happened for a good bit of the process. The branch manager was openly hostile about it. Certain it had something to do with the trans dude. I reached out to Regional and Corporate Security and they could have given two shits. They didn't even take it seriously until I made a police report. They never would even confirm what happened. They just eventually credited my account. I went in that afternoon to close all my acccounts.

BEST PART OF THE STORY. The guy who closed all my accounts out had me in his office. There were four accounts involved. Two cashed out with Bank Checks due to the amounts. I told them I wanted the two petty cash accounts in cash. Guy goes and collects the bills from the back. Walks in the office and just hands me the envelopes. I open them and count the money out on his desk. The guy overpaid me by two hundred dollars. Pure incompetence. I just looked him in the eye and said "this is why I won't bank with Chase." His response? He said "I got nothing. That was pretty bad."

Hey not being critical but I think I see the problem.

You never, ever put 5k in cash IN THE BANK.

National banks are usually great for tech and lousy for service and the type of situation you're describing. WIthout knowing where you're located.

Chase -I have a really good local branch, they have great tech, use them for some things but not primary.

US Bank, have heard good things, use them for some things but not branch banking as they have no presence here. Tech is pretty solid and they have some nice features like $50k+ limits on mobile deposits even on standard accts.

BOA- used them for a CC, no idea about their checking and not sure how their branch banking is.

Wells - Had an acct there when it was wachovia, I think my parents use them and seem to be happy. Have dealt with their business side on inventory finance, they're basically just robots with an indian accent if you eve have to call anyone. Have never stepped foot in a local branch.

I avoid the canadian banks, and find that most regionals are stuck with low tech and outgrew good service, use a small local for service/relationship and a big national for tech. Regionals tend to have limited customer serivce hours, crappy tech and other quirks but have often moved beyond having local level decision making and customer service. Once exception I have found is Pinnacle out of Nashville, use them for one of our businesses and they are solid.

That sucks. I've never had a problem w/ Chase personal or business accounts. Their customer service and transactions were so much easier than the awful Bank of America that they've always seemed absolutely great to me.

Any of yall use Hancock Whitney? They've been expanding in Houston, but still don't have a as many locations as the nationals.

My mortgage company sold my note to PNC. In general that should be illlegal without any consent from myself. Anyways ….

PNC has the most outdated website I’ve ever seen. Who built this site ?

Similar to blacks trans can get away with crappy attitudes, actions (or lack thereof), and incompetence just by playing the identity card as true reason behind any criticism or complaints about them.

It might not always be the worker playing the card, but it can be their shitty woke manager playing it for them or not taking any criticism about them objectively due to thinking race or trans was the motivating factor behind the criticism.

Why do you need a national bank?
I love my local banks.

I do. I have a buddy that’s a branch manager and I switched from Chase to Hancock Whitney because of him. I’d recommend a switch if you’re thinking about it.

I can't stress enough especially when dealing with business accounts how much nicer it is to deal with a small bank if it's an option

Problem is it isn't always an option

PNC at the height of wokeness cancelled a very lucrative small business accounts because they happened to sell the G word. Guns.

Don't hesitate to leave them and call their main corporate office in Pittsburgh and report why you are leaving. You may be asked if you are legally taking action by the PR/legal team.

Greenville Bank, Citizens bank. If you feel better with a big name----Huntington.

It is a PITA but do it.

You are right. We should never tell an interesting and relevant story here on the OT. What was I thinking? What we need is more thread on tipping and giving insta thots OT ratings. My bad.
